Um, maybe you guys can help me... whether Timmy is a starter or a reliever, he is still going to need a personal catcher--Varitek has never been able to grab that knuckler and his god awful arm with Wake's pitch speed...guys might be able to steal 1st to 3rd on him lol Victor doesn't have much experience with the knuckler, but I guess he's the only other option? My question is, WHO CATCHES WAKEFIELD??

Daisuke Matsuzaka, RHP, Red Sox - We’ll have to get an explanation on this one, but a source told MLB.com reporter Maureen Mullen that Matsuzaka unexpectedly took a week off from Athletes’ Performance Institute in Tempe, Ariz. Mullen wrote that the respite does not appear to be injury-related. Right now there’s no reason to believe Matsuzaka is abandoning his conditioning, but with Dice-K, who knows? Source: Boston Globe
