It happens alot. This team kind of sets it's own tone early as far as the offense. You know those games where they put up a run in the second and then sleepwalk through the next seven and you know it's coming? It's hard to explain.

Not to guys like Sabathia, Haliday, Lee and the likes, the purchasers of those contracts knew what they were getting. Theo failed with Dice-K who was unproven in this country (Darvish may be the only Japanese pitcher to last more than a year or two, jury is still out) and insisted on the scrap heap mentality from there on in.

Way I see it: Bard is an excellent reliever, he is a mediocre starter. Dice K sucked, sucks and will continue to suck. Team needs to stop handing out contracts like Crawford and A-Gon, Theo never seriously pushed for a guy like Sabathia, Lee, Haliday etc. In a division that is usually won by 1-4 games, that could be all the difference. We need management that values pitching over all else.
