Never thought too much about the guy other than the fact that he is the last of the knuckleballers (and of course a little sympathy for him playing for the Mets), saw a great piece on him this morning and it turns out he is a pretty amazing person. They discussed his contract with Texas that was cut by 90 % when they found out that he had NO medial collateral ligament in his pitching arm and he signed anyway only to pitch one game for them and he failed miserably. It also discussed how a pitching coach recommended trying to throw a knuckleball so he wouldn't blow his pitching arm out. He discussed how he was molested by a few adults when he was a kid and now does charity work for kids with similar circumstances. If you get a chance to watch it I highly recommend it.
