how about brian McCann? he could be gotten for talent young and good offensively and defensively. avg. only 6 pb per year. throws out 24% of stealers and hits avg .293 and avg 24 hrs and 103 rbi a season. thats if he played 162

i did say that. plus the yankees will prolly spend more on him then we can. the pressure will be worth the money. and the yankees will pay for anything. look at arod at 32 got a 10 year deal. he will be baseball dead well before then. the red sox will be smarter and not give that many years. i think that holliday will want to be locked up for a long time.

holliday will want to go to a place where he can play without a lot of pressure. but if he does it will be yankees. plus i think bay is better for the sox. he knows the wall and hits pretty well.

we could see if we could trade for mark reynolds and stphen drew. two birds with one stone. reynolds SO's a lot but he does add power and also has versatility playing 1st and 3rd. AS for catchers. Matt Wieters is gonna be good for the O's and i like what i saw from him. Chris iannetta isn't a bad choice, but isn't a great hitter. Jarrod Saltalamacchia- i think he will get by his injury over the off season and be alright. he can hit okay but fenway will help a little. plus he throws out 24 percent of Base stealers.

i also see that Alex cora is back as FA. wouldnt be a bad pick up for the Sox. But i think that the Sox should keep V-mart behind the plate with varitek as a backup. we could always shop for a 1B. With having him behind the plate keeps the Sox free with Youk. plus if the sox keep Kotchman he could share time with Youk when lowell gets days off. Lowell will be much better next year. his hip was restraining him a little i believe and he will be able to play more. V-Mart gives the Sox a lot of versatility with C or 1B. we coulld go after either position and playing V-Mart at 1B pretty much eliminates the need for Lowell.

i think bay had a great year and the sox should re-sign him because his a really good hitter and knows how to play the wall. if we get holliday i really hope he doesn't turn into a lastings milledge. Matsui i would never want him on the sox. King Felix will be hard to get through trading. the mariners are not stupiid about what they can get for him. lackey won't be a bad pick up if we can afford him.

in comparison to others. killing the fans with loading the bases all the time. he was down on 1-2-3 innings costing him time and needing more off days. he has turned into a FB pitcher when he needs to bring back the splitter.

i wouldn't want to trade papelbon he had one bad year. remember his years before 2009

i think it wouldn't require a contract extension. plus that Halladay is gonna be a big gun up for trading during the offseason. also Riccardo got fired.

he could always be turned into a bullpen arm. plus i think tazawa is going to be like clay was this year.

daniel cabrera is on the market and he throws hard and if tought correctly could be good.

i see cliff lee may be an option as a pitcher. he could be really good in boston.

i think i would definitely give bowden for mauer and a couple other prospects from the Sox.

the bullpen could use some help. saito is not that good and could be traded

we really just need to retool a little better on the bullpen. and if we could get felix it would be a good replacement for the wake.
