  1. he still did pretty damn good when not using it.
  2. are you kidding me who is better other than Rivera and Hoffman.
  3. i have said that before. he didnt have command this year and that is because he never used the splitter. he relied on the slider and the fastball.
  4. i really wanna know where he is getting his stats. i completely agree with you. papelbon was not as good as he could but he will blow us away next year.
  5. walks per 9= 3.2 his high=4.5 his low= 1.0 hits per 9= 7.1 high=8.7 low=4.6 k/bb =3.17 high=9.63 low=2.00 whip=1.147 high=1.471 low=0.771 would you like me to continue?
  6. i would much rather have a guy who had 1.85 era and can dance like papelbon.
  7. yeah and he won't be a free agent until 2011 and halladay is a free agent after next season. if we get him we can extend felix contract past 2011 prolly to 2015 we could have a great pitcher and after that if he is bad we could trade him for some young pitching and get some good prospects.
  8. i think that he won't be trade to us without Buchholz unless we swamp them with prospects that i think i would rather hold on to like Anderson and reddick and tazawa.
  9. if we have just what we have we have Beckett, Lester, Dice-k Buchholz and a fifth starter. i think if we don't have to give up buchholz to get felix which i doubt it will make a great starting five. i am a guy who thinks pitching beats good hitting. if he does get involved with the trade we still have a great starting 4. plus if we sign bay or holliday then i think we could just as well stick with the infield we got if we sign alex gonzalez and then re-sign kotchman. lowell at third youk at first and V-mart a catcher.
  10. i would much rather have Felix rather than Halladay. Halladay is 32 and Felix is 23. Felix is also much cheaper. i would rather go after felix as hard as possible rather than Gonzalez because the pitching is what we need more. we have to make one or the other. i think it will be really hard to get both in one off season.
  11. the in thing means what each team gets in the trade the sox get werth and Hanley and so on and so forth. the sox should hold onto papelbon and save him and just try to get hanley.
  12. very true on all example1. i think i would be to scared to play against the mariners if ells went there.
  13. Ellsbury i would like to hold onto because i think he has a lot more to improve and can be really good if he can hit better than grounding out to second base. he needs to use the opposite field more oftne. i agree i think both should retire but if wake can stay healthy he could be really good for us next year. this year was an all-star appearance for him.
  14. Wakefield may not be done after all. he is having the surgery and it has been said that he should be ready for spring training(not by HIM though).
  15. definitely if we could get them we could win every WS for the rest of time. j/k lol
  16. nevermind on him just saw that his contract isnt up until 2012 but i think in 2012 he will be worth a lot of money.
