  2. 2 run Double PAPI. 2-0 Sox.
  3. I am a veteran's fan. I saw this thread in another forum and I thought it would be a good dicussion.
  4. Where is Joe Buck today?
  5. Nick Swisher has been killing us this year.
  6. How do you see next years teams rotation? Obviously Penny will be gone, and we know Smoltz has already been cut. So, who takes over all these spots next year? 1) Beckett - Lock 2) Lester - Lock. 3) Matsuzaka - Lock (Some might see it differently, but I think he stays). 4) Wakefield - I think he returns for yet another season, and I'm fine with this. 5) Buchholz - Gets his shot at 30 starts. And then I think they'll have Bowden be the Buchholz of next year - Give him the spot starts when needed, and overall, give him about 5-10 starts. I think they also go out and sign one Penny-esque starter, but not give him the same opportunity as Penny. Things would also get super interesting if Wakefield decided to retire. Do the Sox go make a big splash trade with Halladay, or let someone like Bowden get 30 starts?
  7. Tim Wakefield and Brad Penny both made starts last night that were pivotal to the rest of their season, and their divergent results left today's reality: Wakefield will start Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox while Penny's future with the Red Sox is in limbo, manager Terry Francona said. Wakefield, rehabbing in Triple A Pawtucket, had to prove himself ready to not just pitch in a big league game, but also field his position despite a nerve issue sapping his left calf of strength. Penny, starting against the Yankees, had to prove himself effective enough to remain in the Red Sox rotation. Wakefield allowed one run and two hits in 5 2/3 innings. Penny allowed eight runs and 10 hits in four-plus miserable innings at Fenway Park. The Sox decided Wakefield would make his first start since the All-Star break. As for Penny, hoe Junichi Tazawa fares tonight may determine his fate. Since June 23, Penny has one win in 11 starts and a 6.37 ERA. Francona talked to Penny this morning. "I told him he's got to hang tight a little bit," Francona said. "We'll get through today, and then we'll tell him where we go from there." Source: Boston Globe
  8. Well at least our offense has come alive..
  9. Sorry this guy was just a horrible poster on another site and spammed over here so I was wondering if you guys ever heard of him.
  10. Rays up 5-3 in the bottom of the 8th.
  11. Answer me has anyone heard of Futureheisman?
  12. That will just about the end that rally.
  13. Could this be the Red Sox and Orioles from earlier this year? I would just laugh if I were to see that happen.
  14. Why dont they need to make the playoffs? They make the playoffs they have a chance. Now are the chances high? No but they do have two aces in Beckett and Lester that could do some damage. Why would any Sox fan say they DO NOT need to make the playoffs? You aren't a fan if you say that.
  15. No one answered my question earlier, Have you guys heard of FutureHeisman?
  16. This is at home too where we are invincible most of the time. I DO not want to see this guys in the playoffs and would for them to get the Angels in the first round but that is most likely not going to happen.
  17. Wow it is finally over..
