Big Fan of Pedroia but Not His Extension

I think it was a good move. Is there risk involved? Yes, but I think it sends a statement that Pedroia is their long term leader and the face of the franchise. The only bummer so far is he is in a slump since signing that deal! -
I think the truth lies in the middle, here. I think some people's personalities make it nearly impossible to hide their feelings on their faces. However, I think both of these guys let non - calls eat at them too much and starts them down a bad path as the game goes along. They have to be able to master their emotions better - but that does not make them robots either!

I agree with you. To trade him in some sort of pitching acquisition deal would be short - sighted.
