Is John Maine in camp right now? It was said that he signed a minor league deal but I have not seen him on any fotos and is not mentioned in any reports. He is also not not on MLB.com among the NRI players. Does anybody who is around Ft. Myers know anything about that?

Thats a really great move for the team, so don't get me wrong, but giving up Casey Kelly does not feel right at all. Good starter prospects are not that easy to come by and I think he would have had a bright future at Fenway.

We are talking about a catcher that was injured for most of the last two seasons. He has only a limited number of games. If goes with the whole team through a full spring training I say they should give him a chance. I am still looking at the defensive part of the catcher position, and Martinez isn't the answer for that amount of money. Also, he is not the answer for 1B. Beltre, Dunn, Bullpen and maybe a decent and not-too-old outfielder, that, I agree, would be a logical thing to do. But I also think that TE will do something surprising on the (maybe) vacant DH position.

Lets see what LaRoche does out there. I'm just happy to see Green playing shortstop.. What a season for him so far
