NESN - Sox acquire Casey Kotchman for LaRoche

I dont get this move at all. Laroche has pretty good defense and power. Why would the Braves take Laroche's salary when Kotchman gets paid the minimum. -
I saw him play last night. All I can say is he's gonna need a lot of work in the cages.

Considering the two WS titles I'd say he's pretty darn good.

Jason Bay is the best hitter on the team, there is no way the sox will let him walk. Bay will get paid there is no reason to worry.

Great pitcher lose cannon for a mouth. 14 over 5 yrs doesnt sound that bad. If he can watch his mouth he is definitly worth it imo.
