  1. Heh. Glad I could be of service.
  2. I'm sorry, must have gone into the "Masters & Johnson" thread by mistake... and FWIW, the g-spot is a gynecological myth, designed to make men think that our sexuality is somehow extremely deep and complex. It isn't. At all. DiPreG pretty much, pardon the expression, nailed it.
  3. There's no 2007 World Series without Josh Beckett (remember game 5 of the ALCS?) That alone was worth whatever was given up in the trade. He had a rough first few outings, but has been much better his last two. I'm encouraged. Wish I could say the same about Lester, though.
  4. Well, except he never did *that* even when he was on top of his game. The Red Sox have always had his number.
  5. Yep, me too. Like Remy, he basically says it like it is but without that Master of the Universe attitude. Even Orsillo seems to be having a better time of it. Sad state of affairs right now, and somehow the west coast just magnifies it all. I've not been a big fan of the unbalanced schedule at all, but the one thing it does do is make for less west coast trips. That alone is worth the mind-numbing amount of times they have to play the Yanks, O's, etc. Josh needs to come up big today to stop the slide. We'll see. Shouldn't really be all that hard, because honestly, the Mariners stink.
  6. This is the solution I'm leaning to right now, what the Yankees did with Wang: Make up something-anything-to get him out of the lineup. Do an MRI on the wrist and say something face-saving like it shows somethign questionable (maybe it does) and he's going back to Boston to have it looked at. DL him, give him a two-week breather, send him to Pawtucket to work on the swing, whatever. Just get him out of the national media spotlight and in the meantime, get someone who can be at least somewhat productive in the lineup (someone not named Barry Bonds, that is.) I don't believe David Ortiz as a force is done-although I don't see the '03-'07 guy ever coming back-but he's killing this team right now and he knows it. Papi, we love you, man, but we all need a break, and I think in the end we'll be a lot better off for it.
  7. Well, I don't know that much or have a strong opinion about him either way, but I do tend to agree that catching is a bigger concern going forward than pitching right now, and therefore the Red Sox have to be prepared to deal some of those cards. That's fine with me. I take a pretty fish-eyed look at younger players anyway, realizing that most of them will not be exceptional big leaguers and no one should be considered "untouchable."
  8. I'm pretty convinced at this point that Roger Clemens is a psychopath-not the murdering, raping, violent kind, but the narcissistic type who uses others primarily to satisfy his own needs and who can't relate to the feelings of others AT ALL. He's callous, manipulative, glib, refuses to accept responsibility for his actions (remember, every time something went wrong on the mound he pulled up with some kind of injury) and has not shown one iota of remorse for what he has done or put other people through. It would be maddening if it weren't so sad.
  9. If the team is going to get a quality catcher in a trade, it is going to have to give up a quality pitcher. Both are very scarce these days, and while the Sox seem to have an abundance of young quality arms IMO they have no one in the system who appears he is going to be Tek-worthy by the end of 2010. Any team that does is going to want something high value in return, and you can't blame them.
  10. He signed a one-year guaranteed deal for $5 mil with a 2010 club option for $5 mil and a player option for $3 mil.
  11. LOL, no, I'm not a man, and I don't speak much Spanish. I modeled my user name after Rich Garces.
  12. He's in the NY Mets organization somewhere. I miss Wily Mo, I really enjoyed him. I just wish he didn't strike out so !@#$%^& much, and could play a decent outfield. other than that...
  13. Hi, everyone- I've been looking around for an active Red Sox forum since I gave up on the one on the Red Sox site a few months ago, and I'm glad to find this one. I've been a fan since 1978, and Jim Rice's induction into the HOF will be one of the happiest days of my life.
