I guess I agree. Odd thing though, I don't remember him sucking so badly (defensively) at Tampa.

Don't get me wrong. I love watching him play. Tremendous athleticism. But he blew through the minors, made a big splash in the fall call-up and post season so he stuck. He has to be more disciplined at the plate, learn when to run, and certainly refine his bunting technique. Got to love his speed and effort.

What is to be gained? He'll see less good pitches than he would see with Youk hitting behind him. If he hits in the three hole, he does what is needed. If he hits at 7 he does not give the Sox what he is supposed to. If he continues not to hit, sit him down and take a shot with someone---anyone.
