I don't really follow the NL that closely. I recognize 2,3,4,5. Who are the rest of these guys?
Two of them will receive honorable mention, not induction, to the Talksox Hall of Name.
Congratulations Dan Uggla and Emilio Bonifacio.
If you are referring to crowd reaction at Fenway, I believe he gets a cordial welcome and polite applause with each at bat. He's done nothing wrong that would justify treating him as if he were A-Roid or some other creep.
Sorry to alarm you. I'm glad that you went to see a Doctor. I hope you don't have any other problems. Ear problems suck and can be dangerous being so close to the brain and central nervous system.
I saw him play when he was at U.Mass. The game was at B.U. Case Center. He had 26 points and 32 rebounds in that game. He jumped center against a friend (then) of mine, Kenny Boyd. Boyd eventually got drafted by The New Orleans Jazz bot only lasted about a year.
I followed Dr.J through his career in the ABA, Virginia Squires, New York Nets. Did you know that The Celtics held his original NBA rights?
I'm not a Doctor, I'm not even Jacko! But I have many years of experience with chronic ear infections. You need to see a Doctor NOW. You likely have an ear infection and poor drainage has caused the ear drum to swell and rupture. Hence the blood. DO NOT put water in the ear. That is just THE WORST thing you can do unless you enjoy pain.
The Doctor will likely prescribe an anti-biotic for the infection and tell you to buy some Musinex (an expectorant that promotes drainage through the eustation (sp) tubes). Don't f*** around here! Your hearing is at risk as well as equilibrium.
Go to an emergency room if necessary. 24-48 hours later you will start to feel much better.
My heart pumps piss for young Clay. 24 years old, playing a game for a living. Making huge money.
While it's true that most MLB teams could start him now, he is under contract with the Sox. He needs to grow up and wait his turn. I applaud Bowden's comments.
Bard is not a finished product. He's still learning his craft. So he got beat-up. All pitchers have bad days. Young ones can be given more rope to prove that they belong. This kid has really good stuff that needs to be developed. Either as a spot reliever with the Sox, or in Pawtucket where he would likely get more appearances. I like the idea that he can become the Sox closer eventually. Papelbon is not a lock to be with the Sox for the long haul.
