  1. This is nice of Yaz to say.
  2. Yup. http://www.csnphilly.com/baseball-philadelphia-phillies/grady-sizemore-has-lot-things-driving-him Why can't we get players like that?
  3. Lol I have voiced objection to Poopie when hr cries about strike calls and of course his annual "lack of respect" when it comes to his contract / money. But I have no problem with however many hours it takes him to circle the bases when he goes yahd or however he flips his bat. I don't buy into this "disrespectin' da ptcha" crap. Live by sword, die by the sword. Don't throw him pitches that he can hit out if you don't like it you immature twit! And Price is just as bad.
  4. Archer takes offense to Ortiz's bat flip http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/red-sox/post/_/id/39213/archer-takes-offense-to-ortizs-bat-flip Archer acting all butt-hurt. The little pussy.
  5. Peavey is making his first start for the Giants tonight and the game is on ESPN. Is anyone here going to watch that game? I'm interested to see how he does.
  6. Webster started out OK today but his command is just not there. Too many missed spots and walks.
  7. POOPIE!!!! 3-0 Sox!
  8. On the bright side he has lasted two innings!
  9. Archer is on pace of having a career outing.
  10. I am so sick of these stupid polls that NESN insist on having. How about just broadcasting the game with relevant cometary?
  11. Let's see how many runners the Sox will leave on base.
  12. Nice throw by Vasquez!
  13. Way to go Ortizle!!!
  14. I heard that there was sealed bidding on Jose Abreu and that the Sox under bid by only a total of $5. Mil. No use crying over spilled milk, I guess.
  15. Blasphemer!!! I think both XB and JBJ were brought along too fast. Not only did neither dominate in the minors, they did not learn how to control the zone and hit MLB quality pitching. And XB has not developed major league defensive skills either.
  16. OK Nava!!! Get the offense moving!
  17. A win. There's a novel idea!!!!
  18. Yes. It's "bizzah".
  19. Isn't it nice to see Mike Carp playing first one day after bitching about not playing enough and asking for a trade? Victorino batting fifth??? Why not second??? Is it possible to put more left handed bats in the lineup???
  20. Webster vs. Archer OYE! Fans attending this game should wear helmets and flak jackets as Webster will most likely be giving up some bombs! 21. You and I have been spoiled over the years by the Sox usually having at least one "big stick" in the outfield. You are correct. The Sox DO NEED TO ACQUIRE a big stick. An outfielder ( preferably RH hitting ) would be nice! Currently, the Sox have no such prospect in the system. Alex Hassan is hitting very well in Pawtucket. But even those who participate in the seemingly on going jizzfest over the Sox prospects have to concede that a guy like Hassan is not what is needed. I have no idea what players are available now that can be had. I only hope that the Sox don't take the Willy Mo route again! Speaking of power, Ortiz won't be around ( or at least in a productive mode ) for more than the next year or so. The Sox power will drop off significantly when he is done. The problem is much worse than it may appear to be at first glance. There seems to be the assumption that the Sox will be the successful suitor for Stanton at some point. I refuse to put all my eggs in that basket. The Yankees certainly ( as well as others ) will chime in on this. The Sox don't ever seem to play small ball so we will see ( most likely ) another year at least of poor run production in 2015. That is, of course, unless the FO pulls one out of the hat and lands a thumper soon.
  22. Just want to acknowledge that I was incorrect in predicting that Victorino would not be contributing when he returned. The Sox are being very cautious by holding him out in some turf games. When he is in he appears to be stroking the ball and running well. So much for my hunches!
  23. Looks like the Sox offense has taken the night off. Again.
