  1. Oye. This is one of your dumber comments. Your team just lost one of the two best players in the league. Think about that.
  2. As usual, I'm with you. Maybe something is up. Like moving players on the 25 man.
  3. So it seems that I voted for the starting 8 position players in the American League. I have not looked at what I did in the NL. I think that Sale will start.
  4. I'm like a700. A Johnny three note. Pitching, Pitching, Pitching.
  5. Creating discussion does not require starting a thread. User has been one of the guys initiating discussion and keeping the discussion going at Talksox for about 7 years. You may not like him or his style, but it's hard not to see that he ads validity and voracity to the discussion here.
  6. Roberts is the only thing I like about that organization. I don't mind Kershaw, either.
  7. That is what I meant by it being so hot. He has said that sweat as well as rain compromises his grip. And I am okay with six innings from him if he can keep the team in the game. It's nice when he goes 8 but not necessary especially when the innings contribute to his fatigue.
  8. Be careful now. We have sensitive ears on Talksox. Some folks are offended by ANALogies that involve the butt hole.
  9. I pointed this out last week but no one picked up on it. Wright has never gone over 140 something innings. That's it. Maybe he is fatigued? Maybe the two games pitched in rain and another two games where the thermometer was hovering around 100 F had something to do with it? Judicious use of his fastball seems to be vital. The thing is, no one, and I mean no one, other than another knuckler, has any idea what is going on with a knuckleballer. That has been confirmed by each team that has one, I believe. I think that Wright is approaching uncharted waters and really does not know what to expect himself. I think that the Sox should be cautious with his innings. Farrell left him in about 1 inning too long last night and the box score reflect this.
  10. If that is the case what is the baseline of offensive performance that you require for him to be DH? And why, after all, is Brentz on your s*** list? I know that he shot himself in the leg. What else? He looks serviceable to me.
  11. No. Hernandez to 3rd, Holt in Left. They can be subbed by Brentz in Left, and Merrero at 3rd.
  12. I used to make Snuff animated short films with Barbie, G.I. Joe, and M-80s.
  13. The NBA is a f***ing joke.
  14. The King of Talksox so decrees!!!!!!!!1!!!1
  15. So three of five rotation pieces produce s***. Does it really matter who was worse?
  16. Oh how the fragile has fallen.
  17. The hall mark of the Sox is high RISP / LOB. Runs please?
  18. Nick is right. Moving X to 3rd f***ed him up so badly that he became a choker.
  19. Price has had two bad starts in succession. People wonder why he was so bad when he struck out 10. Look who he struck out. Anyway, He does need to get better and fast. This ship is sinking. Taking 2 of 3 from the Juggernaut Angels proves nothing. The thing is, if I have to put money on one guy to step it up and come up big when needed I would not discount choosing Price.
  20. Is it? Does this condition manifest itself in any painful symptoms? If so, why has Buch been silent about it? Did he know his arm was hurt when he was extended? What did and does the Sox Medical staff know?
  21. And the Sox need for quality starts far exceeds their immediate need for a reliever.
  22. This blocking young players nonsense got it's genesis on Boston talk radio, I believe. Farrell may have his faults but as far as I know he did not shop for the groceries.
