    950 ESPN radio had an interview with Curt's doctor(Craig Morgan) today when I was driving home. He said that he could have takes a tendon and attached it to Curt's shoulder and Curt could have been back by ASB. The red sox doctor disagreed and Schilling could not get a second opinion because as par latest CBA - his contract would have been void. The doctor said that Schilling can not lift a weight of 5 lbs - and his pitching this year is out of question. Here is the funny part - Schilling is so angry ( about what?) that he wants to rehab and pitch for the Yankees next year. Just Curt being Curt? Just wrote it down exactly as I heard it - feel free to add your $0.02.

    I don't know what I feel about Hughes/Santana trade any more - Santana lost his 2nd game yesterday. Still think not trading Hughes is the right move - but if Cashman did not trade Kennedy for Santana - he deserves to be fired.

    I agree - I like our outfield the way it is. AJ Pierzynski is now at .438 average and .738 slugging percentage. Let's see if these guys can keep it up.

    I hope they give a chance to Lowrie tonight - may be he will step up like D-Ped or Jacoby did last year.

    Unfortunately we had a logjam in the outfield - no way we could have signed him.

    My opinion is that our offense to this point is not good enough to get us to the play-offs irrespective of what our pitching does. They might ( and hopefully will) pick up. You consider that stupid - so be it.

    It will be hard to trade Lugo with his contract unless we fix some GM with Speitzer's girl.

    I am not sure whom we should trade first - Lugo or Crisp. But again - both are tough sells at this point.
