    Manny's blunder didn't matter as Tek's groundball would have been an easy two. Still, no reason to give a team an easy out.

    Man, I was stoked to hear about this after coming home from the Mud Hens game this afternoon. I honestly felt that the Sox were going to stand pat, but this solidifies the bullpen in so many ways. 6 innings and a lead will spell disaster for opposing teams.

    There's a report circulating that the Red Sox have acquired Eric Gagne from the Rangers for Delcarmen, Breslow and cash. Anyone have any confirmation on this? Would be a pretty big steal if it's true.

    Another ball up...sheesh. Lester needs to be able to harness his fastball against better opponents or he'll get more results like that. Get this third out, score more the next inning and not sweat this one out.

    He's been up with his fastball and hasn't really utilized his offspeed stuff a lot. He's gotten away with a few tonight.

    BTW, the Tampa announcers are pretty brutal and annoying. All inning they kept complaining about Lugo being called safe. I guess no one gave them the memo that their team is a glorified AAA one, haha.

    Good response by the offense, Lester can go 7 and the bullpen can shut things down from there.

    Offense needs to wake up, and Lester needs to keep leaving fastballs over the plate.
