    Yep, heard about this several days ago. That's a really tough blow. I hope the 2010 Pats don't have to go through half the injury problems the Sox and Bruins did.

    Unless Cliff lee falls apart he oughta win the Cy Young. He has the chance to finish the season with a WHIP of under 1.00. That is just filthy. Oh, and it sounds like the Sox played well tonight. Love that Kalish had a GS. He's becoming a fan favorite really quick.

    I hate FOX games. I rarely get to see them and listening to Buck and McCarver is terrible for the ears. Awesome game tonight. Chip away at that lead.

    I have a feeling Okajima has pitched his last game in Boston. I feel a DFA coming tomorrow. Dice has been really good here of late. His last 5 starts: 8/5 vs Cleveland: 8 IP, 5 H, ER, 6 K 7/31 vs Detroit: 6 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 5 K 7/25 @ Seattle: 6 IP, 4 H, ER, 4 K 7/19 @ Oakland: 6 2/3 IP, 2 H, ER, 6 K 7/11 @ Toronto: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 5 K I'll take that any day of the week.

    I would be inclined to think it's Daniel Nava, simply so he can play every day at Pawtucket. He will be back in on the roster in September anyway.

    In light of Tim Bogar getting a baserunner pre-maturely thrown out at home for the umpteenth time tonight, who is the worst Sox 3B coach of all time? As bad as Bogar has been I think I have to go Dale Sveum. He had guys get thrown out so bad there wouldn't even be a play at the plate - they would just coast into home plate to get tagged out by the catcher.

    They're going to have to trade the man at some point next season, whether that be the off-season or at the deadline. They didn't get rid of him this year because they simply couldn't given how good their team is. Same with Heath Bell's situation.
