  1. wow, compared to Wake's knucleball, thats like going 95 in a 45
  2. well he's cleared waivers so i'm guessing Kielty is up within that week and WMP is DFA'd or they work out a trade before then
  3. exactly...whitch i why i never got the "get rid of lowell, move Youk to 3rd/get Texieira" debate
  4. one lefty, and a bunch of damn good rightys as for lopez being back for the yanks series, i think the sox should put him on the waiver wire and see if he passes through (he probably wouldn't but its worth a shot, theres tons of teams looking for a #5 starter, just look at pinerio and st louis)
  5. now Junior Spivey takes that role
  6. one reason: it's the NL...
  7. whats with signing clark and spivey in the last couple of days? looks like the sox want a better 4th OF than what they have with WMP, or they want some veteran bats off the bench come september
  8. i'd say he's on reserve and the low gas light has been on too long, at some point you run out of gas and he might be having one last sputter of gas
  9. is his progression backwards because he was brought up too early (and stayed up here in '06) or is it natural?
  10. no, why would he? he's on an aging team that isn't getting any better
  11. would you rather have him start now at 75% when you have a 9+ game lead (when most say you're going to win the division anyway) or would you rather have him in october at 90%-100%?
  12. ouch....i guess if you want to win now, and continue to win you have to get rid of either Lester or Ellsbury...The trigger wouldn't be pulled on this one until Schilling is back from the DL (I'm assuming gabbard is called up and replaces Schill in the rotation, unless he absolutley stinks up the joint) If Lester gets traded, put all your pitching eggs in the basket of Buchholtz
  13. tell me how crazy i am for thinking this for a trade: craig hansen to the cincy red for Arroyo
  14. so if we're going based on major league experience, why don't we bring up Craig Hansen more often this year? Oh thats right, 6.63 ERA last year, 5.18 ERA in AAA this year and a WHIP near 2. We all thought Hansen could preform right out of the gate, and look what he's racked up so far
  15. here's an idea....theres an off-day tomorrow, why not skip schilling's spot in the rotation? Peavy is pitching sunday for SD, at this point i would rather have a healthy Beckett pitch against one of the ace's of the NL rather than a faltering ageing former ace
  16. as is most of last year's bullpen thats sitting in Pawtucket, that's why you don't see the Beslow's and Hansen's of the minors being called up as much instead going to the veterans like Piniero and Donnelly
  17. timlin is done.....hope he retires at the end of the season schilling is done in boston after this year, i doubt the Sox pick up the option '08 rotation: Lester, Beckett, Dice-K, Wakefield? Papelbon?
  18. breslow's already on heres the list from sox prospects: soxprospects.com/40man.htm
  19. I noticed over at soxpropects that now that Romero is DFA'd and gone, that leaves a spot open on the 40 man roster. Who should fill the spot? I noticed there are no infielders on the extended roster so maybe someone from the PawSox gets added in case Youk or Cora or Lowell go DL
