  1. You know for Colon's size, and age, he's actually quite an accomplished pitcher. Granted he's probably nowhere NEAR his old self, nor will he ever, he's still got a great career record. That aside, f*** his career, we need him now. Pull of a win Colon.
  2. Yes, I KNOW it doesn't make a difference whether or not a YouTube video is added to the gamethread, but it's still fun.
  3. Okay it's time to start winning again, and it starts in Seattle. Let's f***ing do this. Teams: Boston Red Sox (31-22) vs. Seattle Mariners (18-33) Location: Safeco Field, Seattle, Washington Game Time: 10:10pm EST (7:10 Pacific) Viewing: MLB.tv, NESN Starting Pitchers: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_112526.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_433587.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/bos_38x45.gif #40 Bartolo Colon, RHP (1-0, 3.60) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/sea_38x45.gif #34 Felix Hernandez, RHP (2-4, 3.34) Scouting Report Okay I got a good feeling about tonight's game. Mostly because the Mariners flat out suck. So win it, and win it again.
  4. I'm the "Ace" of the posting staff, eh? Ha ha. I wonder sometimes if the mojo really does help.
  5. Lightning? Horrible way to pass. RIP.
  6. Bases loaded. Come on Manny, you're due!
  7. Make some magic happen, Ortiz!
  8. Very much so. Thank you kindly.
  9. Does someone have the Red Sox lineup? I can't find it and I'm trying to get my scorecard going.
  10. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080525&content_id=2768720&vkey=news_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos Best prayers to Lester's family. Very difficult thing to work through, cancer. From what I've read, the prognosis is good. It's slow growing which can give doctors time to put it into remission. Best of luck.
  11. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080522/ap_on_sp_ba_ne/bbo_instant_replay You know, as good of an idea it is, does anyone think it'll ever see the light of day in the major leagues? I really don't see it getting far. As much as it would help in controversial situations.
  12. Well I see you decided to be blunt... I just wanted to have a little innuendo fun.. But yes, I bet she does give a good handjob.
  13. You know, we'll never see a 1999 Pedro Martinez, EVER again. I consider him to be the most dominant pitcher of our time, and probably the cleanest. I even watched him when he was with the Expos. I think if it wasn't for his injuries, he probably coudl reach atleast 250 wins. But with his recent issues I don't see that happening. Regardless, the man is going to the Hall of Fame. Truth to be told, I'd rather see him retire now, ahead of the game, instead of doing what Roger Clemens has down with his several retirements and reappearances. Then again you never know, he may comeback strong and have a decent season.
  14. I bet she's very hands on with her job... I'm sure she enjoys the oral aspects as well... such as interviews.
  15. That says something about Varitek. Because I do agree that great pitching comes from great catching.
  16. WHAT THE f***? I MISS BUCHHOLZ'S NO-NO, AND AGAIN LAST NIGHT I MISSED THE GAME TO MEET WITH FRIENDS... I get up this morning, open the sports section to check the box scores and standings, and in big font it reads "LESTER THROWS NO-HITTER!" All I could say was "WHAT!?" I CAN'T believe for the second f***ing time I've missed a no-no. The las Sox no-hitter I saw was Hideo Nomo's some seven years ago. Congratulations to Lester none the less. He's come from a lot to make such great accomplishments. Wonder what he'll do next.
  17. Biggio is the man. I've had the privilege of seeing him twice when the Zephyrs were affiliated with the Astros. Awesome guy. I can remember before the game he was talking to anyone and everyone and signing everything handed too him. Then when I finally got towards the dugout he leaves and I end up getting my hat ruined by a Chuck Carr signature.
  18. And Fenway giveth... :ortiz:
  19. Ellsbury is fast... Kendell is faster.
  20. Beautiful little slap by Ellsbury. 2 runs and Lugo finds a way to get out afterall!
  21. f*** you for walking Lugo. f*** you for tieing the game.
  22. J.J. Hardy... what an *******.
