    Am I the only one who think Ellbury should have PR immediately? Generally, I'm thinking of doing everything possible to get that tying run instead of waiting to use him maybe for the winning run.

    Man, what a disgusting game. I was in a poker room with the game on in the background and had more shocks and emotions over the damned Sox game than poker game! Up 10-0 in the first was insane, talking about records, etc. Then before I knew it, I look up and its a 2 run game, then tied, then were behind. Ugly, but at least we got the win. Also, am I the only one who wants Masterson to be our 5th starter? Let Bird pitch for Wake and if he does well, then we could move him to the 5 spot when wake gets back and put Masterson back in the pen. I just can't stand our 5 spot/fill in spots.

    Yeah, I agree that Bay batting 6th is a waste. He SHOULD be batting cleanup, but I don't mind seeing him 5th for bit, but 6th is a joke. Bay is a much better hitter than Lowell, let alone the fact that Lowell has been struggling lately.

    Yeah, I'm just still trying to get over losing one of the greatest hitters of all time and certainly one of the most clutch hitters.

    no no no, thats not what I meant, . I'll take anything we can get in the kinda game they had tonight. I was referring to his career stats with the bases loaded. (.219, .256, .375, .631, 2HR, 45 RBI in 78PA) Not so clutch and pretty much the opposite of Manny's numbers with the bags loaded. (Granted, yes it is a small sample size). Not really a complaint, I just kinda cringed a bit as I've been used to one of the greatest hitters with the bags loaded.

    I've been forcing myself to love Bay (not so hard after his hot weekend), but seeing those numbers with the bases loaded made me cringe a bit. Pretty much the polar opposite of Manny.

    huuh? 3rd best in the majors? What about Pujols, Howard, Berkman, Morneau, Cabrera, D Lee, Teixeira, Fielder, etc? Sure, Youk is having a comparable season to those guys, but this is the first time Youk has put up numbers like this, where as all the guys above have been doing it for a while. In the AL, sure, I'll go 3rd or 4th best. In the majors... not so much. That doesn't mean I don't absolutely love the guy.
