  1. Girardi has logic behind him this time, although it isnt good logic. He's concerned about bringing Hughes back on short rest, but it isnt really short rest since Hughes only threw 4IP. And the question becomes, who would you rather see. Hughes, CC twice and Pettitte on short rest or Burnett once? It is a good strategy if it pays off. But it looks like autoloss right now and we cannot afford that
  2. Well, not having a wide zone is going to help us more than it will them as Lee is much better in terms of command. We're gonna need a miracle here. Lee owns us.
  3. Pettitte had him K'd. Now Hamilton goes yard. f***!
  4. I doubt Lavarnway ends up as a catcher in the bigs. He's gonna be a 1b, IMO
  5. For some reason I have a good feeling about tonight. I know I shouldnt, but I do
  6. It's all about the city. It's pretty easy to hide in NYC since it is humongous. In Boston, the fans are a little bit crazier and it is smaller, hence less places to "hide".
  7. No, he wouldnt. Michael Kay is a douche
  8. To be honest with you, ANY change of scenery from KC would be a major concern. Think about it, his anxiety in KC crippled a yr for him. Imagine how it would be in Boston. He could theoretically "hide" in NYC, but in Boston, he'd be the center of attention and there is nowhere to hide. Boston, IMO, would be his worst nightmare, followed closely by NY
  9. Greinke has social anxiety disorder and agoraphobia. He has trouble with crowds, he has trouble with open spaces and he has severe anxiety. He already said that New York and Boston might not be good for him
  10. 4-3 with 2 aces on the mound. Wow
  11. Money isnt available, but per rotoworld, it sounds like a 3yr $30-36mil deal
  12. Based on the game itself, I dont remember many of them. I saw a lot of movement on his pitches.
  13. He looked like he was putting some cut and some run on the ball, though. He tops out in the 91-92mph range, but thats a 4 seamer. He was cutting and running the ball all night which is probably why he got the kinds of swings he got
  14. He used to have a better fastball 8 yrs ago. The guys used to top out in the 98mph range. Since he's been back in the states, his FB has been in the 91mph range.
  15. I bet Hughes and CC throw well in their next 2 games. That being said, as the road team, we got home field advantage back. If we win game 3, this series is over.
  16. And Girardi f***ing left him out there to die. That was the deathblow. We had no margin for error, and our f***ing retard manager left him out there. Girardi is the worst manager in baseball and we win despite his f***ing ridiculousness.
  17. Joe Girardi needs to be skewered from mouth to anus and roasted on a pit. How the f*** do you leave him in this game?
  18. Gardy got f***ed in that AB. Strike 2 was 6 inches outside
  19. Time for Gardner to get on base again. BTW, this umpire has been abysmal.
  20. He hit that ball on the screws
  21. Huge DP right there, but every ball has been crushed. Hughes needs to reverse course here. Gotta go inside vs righties and outside vs lefties. All lefties are pulling him and all righties are creaming the ball away. Its almost as if Hughes cannot get he ball down
  22. Cmon Hughes, stop sucking.
