  1. I am intrigued to see what happens in our FO should our offense continue to suck floppy donkey dick. Offensively, I could see us move Beltran. The guy still has power and is a better fit as a DH. He wouldn't return too much, but could probably get us something while being a useful piece in his probable swan song season Tex could be moved as well if we eat the salary. He's in his final season and we have his replacement recovering from shoulder surgery. He has a NTC, but I am sure he'd waive that if he had a chance to win a title. Headley and Ellsbury are unmoveable. Gardner could be had for the right price, but with Ells regressing to sub-replacement levels, I wouldn't be surprised if he ascends to starting CF level. I don't see us moving McCann, especially since Sanchez is more offensively inclined and a good C would be integral into further developing our young rotation. In the pen, I could see us extending Betances and dealing off Chapman and Miller. Chapman might be the best trade we've made in awhile. His DV issue hanging over him blunted the Reds' return. By the deadline, he'd presumably be in tip top form and past the spectre of his suspension. He could return a humongous haul. Miller, on his deal with 2 more yrs remaining at a reasonable price, could also return an insane package. In the rotation, I don't think we see Tanaka move. He's an ace, when healthy. I could see someone wanting to "fix" Pineda. I think Nova is in our rotation before long and he could return something good if he shows well. I think Eovaldi is a part of the solution as is Severino
  2. I sincerely hope he is true to his word. Because I am so f***ing sick of him kicking our asses
  3. UN?, the way they've approached things since they went balls out with McCann and Ells on the offensive side is to not over extend. The FAs after 2016 are terrible. Barring an insane trade, we should see a youth movement of sorts next year with a probable slide to being bad with a rejuvenation coming 2017 and 2018 when the real prizes come available
  4. It's not the NY Dirtbags. It's the NY punching bags
  5. The strategy works when you're winning. It's the chic thing to do for the city's elite. But when you're losing, it will turn the stadium into a ghost town. This is not a good team. They find ways to lose and their offense, which used to bail them out, looks old and worn down.
  6. Our offense flowed last year because the middle of our order was solid. Once ARod fell off a cliff and Tex got hurt, the rest of the offense followed, even though Bird was fantastic replacing Tex. We need to revamp the offense. Yes this is a 20 game sample size, but this is the oldest lineup in baseball by a lot. Eventually, Father Time wins
  7. Funny thing is, Chili was a dead pull hitter from both sides of the plate
  8. His bat looks slow and his balance is off at the plate. He looks goat cheese level soft.
  9. I'm the eternal optimist in March. But ARod looks done. He dropped a bomb yesterday on an 85mph change. The guy cannot get around on 90+ anymore. Ellsbury looks weak. Headley looks done. CC is done. I sense a purge in the FO although the long term deals handed out 6-8 yrs ago are killing us
  10. UN?, just to give you an idea as to how excited I am for this season, this is the first year that I haven't bought nor planned a trip to NY to watch a game since med school
  11. He's got a vesting option. Basically his shoulder needs to implode to not vest. I think they should just cut him. I know Hal hates eating money, but it's the cost of business. This team right now is bad
  12. CC has to go. Thank you for 2009. You're a deadbeat now.
  13. YOTN, the Braves went full rebuild. Their farm is impressive and will bear fruit soon. Theyre gonna get two top 5 picks in the system as well this yr and next. They'll be back on top soon
  14. They are absolutely hypocritical. That is the issue. By firing Schilling and doing nothing with Broussard, they basically set two different standards based on your racial status. It is racism at its finest
  15. Ray Lewis was involved in a murder. Yet he gets paraded out there like he's a hero or something. Guy should be in jail. Schilling speaks his mind on a political issue and he gets canned. The thing about ESPN is the double standard. They will protect women, they will protect minorities, and they will protect "their guys" to a fault. Berman can do no wrong, even though he has been sexually abusing women at the place for decades. Stephen A can spout as much race baiting crap as he wants and hey, "he's edgy". Same with Broussard. Heck, Broussard came out with outright homophobic stuff and they just swept it under the rug. Both of them should apologize to Stuart Scott at his grave site, the first minority on their air who did it the right way. He was edgy with class who kept it about sports, not politics, until he became an ambassador for cancer patients. But Stephen A and Broussard, those guys are jokes who make it about themselves. The only minority that I can remember for being removed from ES"BM" for their words (not actions Harold Reynolds) was the guy who asked if Robert Griffin was a "cornball brother". Black on black speak wont be tolerated, but rip on old whitey all you want and you'll get more air time, lol.
  16. Another big deficit early. Severino had that big inning over without a run. 2 strike pitch down the cock called a ball, and the kid fell apart from there. But this team either wins a close one or gets ripped apart.
  17. ESPN has gone from a unique experience to a joke who tries to be the story. I am quickly becoming a hater of ESPN
  18. Kaprielian out with elbow inflammation. No TJS at this point. Bummer, he looked awesome
  19. 3 runs in 6 innings against a fill in starter who hadn't started in 2 years.
  20. Porcello is a sinker baller. When you trust your catcher to block your sinker, it makes it more effective. I also think Vasquez is an elite defensive catcher in mind as well as skill. He seems to be a take charge catcher who doesn't f*** around. Someone with a wimpy demeanor like Porcello needs that
  21. UN?, the thing that is so unnerving is how quickly ARod lost it. I guess it should have been expected with how he finished last yr, but the guy who started the yr in a Yankee uniform looked as washed up as any hitter I have seen in the uni. He looks worse than Hafner did when he faked it in NY. And as long as he is in the uni, he is going to play. Our team is FAR better with Beltran at DH and a real RFer in the OF. Add to that the fact that Headley looks just as bad and you have two absolute black holes in the lineup at positions that should be powerful. You put a guy who can hit into those spots and you have a good lineup. But with those holes plus with Castro and Gregorius not really tearing the cover off the ball and you have a lineup that is 5 deep at best. Add to that the fact that Tex is seeing NOTHING because he has no protection and you have him chasing out of the zone. Then you have Ells in his break down stage and Hicks looking lost. Man, this team looks as bad as I have ever seen offensively. We are at 3.8 runs per game right now and if you take away the 16 run second game of the yr, you're at 3.1. That's awful for a team who is supposed to be top 5 in offense
  22. We somehow managed to blow another runner on 3rd less than 2 outs situation. This offense is bad. Just really bad
  23. This team is an abortion
  24. That is a good analogy. He's 6'7 and throws mid 90s with a wipeout slider, but he can't seem to miss the middle third of the plate
  25. Pineda has cockshot syndrome. Today was an exacerbation. Btw, I hope ARod's oblique ripped off the bone. Be out awhile you washed up roid freak
