    I am excited to see how this kid performs vs the sox. Chase should be interesting to see. Like I said before, DiceK will dominate tonight. Unless Chase matches him zero for zero, this one will be over soon.

    Does Jon Miller know that the Scranton Yankees are playing tonight? Maybe Trenton? Cmon now. ESPN should have switched the game lineup once they saw Chase starting.

    that was a big knock on him was that his best production came in a league that he was too old for. I dont like that argument, and when it doesnt bear out it gets ignored, and when it does bear out it is pointed to. Although I was never sold on Kottaras all that much anyway as I think he was mostly overhyped due to the dearth of prospects in the SD system rather than how good he actually was.

    Posada not in the lineup again. Sigh. And Minky in again? Has Torre seen what Minky looks like at the dish? He looks like a blind monkey swinging at flies.

    and youks to that point in the season had been off. Yeah he hit the ball hard twice, but it isnt like Youks was on a homer tear here. Walking him was what turned out to be the game. BTW, Paps was throwing hard last night, and I would have loved seeing a locked in ARod and locked in Paps matchup.

    Yeah, the pen allowed no runners is what I was talking about, good save. I did watch Beckett throw and he wasnt dominant. The curve was off and on and he got raked a few times. He was a blooper away, but at the same time Cano had a double that was called wrong by the blues anyway. It evened out. He was nowhere near as dominant as I was expecting. And againt THAT lineup? You mean the one with no Posada, Damon, or Matsui? He should have shovelled s*** down our throats with that garbage lineup 7-9 and leadoff. Instead he was very mediocre against a lineup that was 2-6 deep.

    I have no expectation of victory tonight. I just hope we can hit DMats around a little and we give the pen a bit of rest.

    Optimist. If Mo is a major worry, then I would be really happy with the shape of our team. I was very worried with Mo two yrs ago for one reason and one reason only. His velocity was down. That is the first sign of wear and tear. Then, the season wore on and he was the same Mo. In the game against the sox, Mo gave up a looper off the end of the bat from Vtek, a chopper by Crisp and a jam shot blooper by Cora. It happens when you have a pitcher who relies on contact like Mo has the past few yrs. That game, Mo was throwing 93mph cutters and 90mph 2 seamers. That is normal for him. He'll get it together. It was all location.

    Mo will get it right and still save 85-90% of his chances, but when you know he is a bit off, you dont throw him into the fire like that. It is april, Mo is NEVER dominant in april.

    I agree. Proctor comes in in the 7th when he should be the setup man. Vizcaino comes in one game after he showed he had some trouble out there. Bruney, the most dominant guy out there doesnt see the light. Mo comes in already in trouble after not pitching since he blew his last save. I mean, wtf? Then to pinch run for Giambi with a 4 run lead in Fenway when you know it could come down to him in the 9th or extras or whatever and then to leave Thompson up with Phelps on deck? Are you serious? i advocated bringing in Mo when he did, but the situation was avoidable.

    No, the blame lies solely on Torre's shoulders. How does Giambi get pinch run for with a 4 run lead in fenway? How do you send up Thompson with the game on the line? He should have let Myers stay in to face Manny and Drew instead of Vizcaino who he KNOWS has control issues. God I hate my manager.
