    In his outing though in Boston... I seem to remember a higher Flyball ratio then grounders.. but that could all be moot since his brief MLB career is just that, brief..

    Isnt Dinardo just as much as a fly ball pitcher then Abe is? Junk ball pitchers usally are fly ball pitchers... and Dinardo is a junk ball pitcher.

    Sure... out of the Pen with 2 weeks off. 5.0 2.18 era as a starter... which is how we should value him, not as a RP with 2 weeks off.

    I like Riske... glad he is coming back. But why keep DInardo when he hold no value to this team? Hes not going to start for Boston anymore with d wells back an then his use out of the penn would be minimal at most. Seems like they should have gone with a guy they plan to use more, or atleast the next time they need a injury fill in... Abe Alverez.

    Damn... Although Harris is a more then serviceable CF, i just like watching Wily Mo play and hit moreso. Talk about a young Papi-ish type swing.

    how can anyone judge Alverez from that bullpenn appearence? There were factors that lead up to that appearence that would throw even the leagues better pitchers off.

    He is back... but for how long? I think Wells will find out his weight is going to hurt he knees more then he thinks, and i think he will be done this season. I will be shocked if he pitches more thena couple starts.

    With Curt Schilling struggling his last few starts, i really hope this is the game he starts to get back on track. Although with that said, i think the yanks will win big tonight..

    What are you talking about? Of course they do? Hell Theo Epstein just said 4 days ago he is calling Abe up because he thinks he can help them and there starters and feels he Abe deserves a shot at the bigs after post 5 wins a league leading era in AAA as a starter.

    I think it was unfair for anyone, here or anywhere else to critize Abe Alverez. He was throw out of his schedule in AAA where he was suppose to pitch, then missed a start due to rain... combine this with Terry putting him in the bullpen for the first time and i think he was doomed from the start. Give the ball to abe!

    There wont be muich value for a JT Snow in trade value. I think in the end, he will be put on waivers and picked up by a team like the Cubs, or the Yanks.

    I think Boomer will be lit up, if and when he comes back. Ive seen alot of columes write about how the doctors say his knee cannot hold up over a duration that it needs to for a effective SP. It effects his delivery, velocity and control.

    If theyres a team that you want Alverez to pitch against, its Philly. Theyre confidence couldnt be lower and thats what a young kid needs his few few starts. Ah well... Dinardo should be okay.
