  1. After the game, check out the Live Earth concert on NBC. It's worldwide, there's a concert in every continent, for the global climate crisis. Good stuff.
  2. MDC has been absolutely filthy lately. 2 down in the 8th, in comes Okajima.
  3. Drew looked horrible that AB.
  4. Good effort from Gabbard. 6 1/3 IP, 3 hits, 2 runs. Hand it over to Delcarmen.
  5. Dammit, Monroe double, tied at 2.
  6. Gabbard has been doing very well for himself. 1 hit in 3 innings.
  7. This thread is over a year old, but the Yankees just signed Durazo...again. Another minor league contract. Per Rotoworld
  8. Very nice start to this one. Papi breaks out of the homer drought, getting the monkey off his back. Gabbard is looking solid to start. So long as he doesn't get a bad case of the walks, he can be okay.
  9. Nah, he didn't face us at Fenway. His loss was against Texas, June 25th.
  10. No gamethread up, so I shall give life to the discussion. Boston Red Sox (53-32) at Detroit Tigers (50-34) Venue: Comerica Park Game Time: 7:05 http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/2006/07/21/NulxnbXJ.jpg Kason Gabbard (2-0, 5.79) vs. http://images.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/_photos/2006-10-07-bonderman.jpg Jeremy Bonderman (9-1, 3.58) It'll be a tough one, but ya never know.
  11. As much as Lugo has disappointed this year, I don't think it's a good idea to trade him. Quite frankly, he's at the lowest of lows. He's under the mendoza line, and there is no way he could get worse than this. I see no point in selling low on this guy. If the White Sox are going to demand 2 of our top 3 prospects AND Lugo, I pass. Plus, I don't see Alex Cora as being a very effective every day player. He is a very good utility infielder, but I don't see much more out of him than that. I would love to have Buehrle, but I don't think it's worth it unless Williams lowers his demands.
  12. I'll pass on Millwood...
  13. Didn't see it, glad I didn't. Can't win em all.
  14. He's a 1B, and can also catch and play outfield. Besides that he sounds like a Mark Bellhorn-lite. Here's the soxprospects.com scouting report: EDIT: He's also 28 years old and was drafted in 1997. Not much of a prospect.
  15. Nice blowout win. Mikey Lowell ripped today, absolutely ripped. Beckett was solid, but not great. Gives the big guns in the pen a rest for the next 2 starts with Tavarez and Gabbard.
  16. I would definitely give him that money. So would the Yankees.
  17. Cool, Sox have the most all stars (I think) with 6.
  18. Ovah. Yanks win.
  19. 7-6, tying run still at 2nd with 2 out.
