Instead of Bellhorn, why not compare him to Renteria? He'll hit about the same and have 27 less errors. I don't recall anyone clammoring for Pedroia (or Hanley) over Renteria after two weeks of ball. -
Nobody likes Wells, and nobody likes the idea of him pitching for the Red Sox, but it seems that we don't have any better options right now. This is something that the front office should have seen coming when they made the decision to trade Arroyo for Wily Mo Strikeouts. Without Wells, we don't have a lefty starter. I think that getting him healthy and trading him mid-season is the best way to deal with the problem. Until then, I think we have to ride it out.
