    Tough loss, but there's some positives to be taken from this. The pitching continues to be very good. 2 runs, 8 hits in 17 IP is certainly nothing to sneeze at. It's good to see Pedroia have a bit of success, he got on base three times. The offense was kind of bad, but they had their chances against the best pitcher in the game, and one of the more solid bullpens. If a bloop falls in here or there it can be a completely different ballgame. I fully expect the offense to pound the crap out of Ponson tomorrow.

    They should trade Ellsbury for a proven ML center fielder. I'm not confident in a prospect's ability to make the jump to the major leagues.

    With the pitching market the way it is I highly doubt any big-time ML pitchers are available. Besides, if he dominates AAA he can help the team out by starting for us. Bowden has the tendency to ask for the moon, remember? We went over this in the offseason when he was shopping Cordero.

    They were up 20 and still got to EVERY loose ball in the 4th quarter. I think they present matchup problems to whoever they face in the 2nd round.
