Then bring it up in the offseason, not two weeks before the playoffs. How you can defend Schilling here is beyond me.

I don't get paid $8 million to post here. Look - I don't think what he said was inherently wrong, but why say it now? HE SAID IT WHEN MANNY WAS TRADED. This was a complete non-issue, only to be brought up again by Schilling which he does time and time and time again. This wasn't a scheduled interview. HE CALLED IN. He wanted to raise the distraction. I tell you what - I'll give Schilling a pass when you tell me what good him bringing this up caused.

Lou Merloni and Dennis Eckersley are doing their jobs, which is something that can't be said about Curt Schilling. I'm of the opinion that what he says probably isn't wrong but the timing sucks, and since he's not pitching he needs to STFU.

I'm not even mad...I said two weeks ago the hole was just too big to overcome. Beckett pitching the way he did is much, much more important than the outcome of this game, IMO. -
