  1. Care to explain why?
  2. I'd still pick Oklahoma.
  3. Not really.
  4. lol...?
  5. Ervin Santana tonight - 5.2 IP, 10 H, 8 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR
  6. Ervin Santana gives up three in the 2nd to Texas.
  7. That's the comparison?
  8. 2008 Edition: THE LOCKS: PITCHERS 1. Josh Beckett 2. Jon Lester 3. Daisuke Matsuzaka 4. Tim Wakefield 5. Paul Byrd 6. Jonathan Papelbon 7. Justin Masterson 8. Hideki Okajima 9. Manny Delcarmen 10. Javier Lopez POSITION PLAYERS 11. Jason Varitek 12. Kevin Youkilis 13. Dustin Pedroia 14. Jed Lowrie 15. Jason Bay 16. Coco Crisp 17. Jacoby Ellsbury 18. Alex Cora BENCH 19. Kevin Cash 20. Sean Casey 21. Mark Kotsay 22. David Ortiz QUESTION MARKS 23. Mike Lowell 24. JD Drew 25. David Ross 26. Jeff Bailey 27. Chris Carter 28. David Aardsma 29. Mike Timlin LONG SHoTS 30. Gil Velazquez 31. George Kottaras 32. David Pauley 33. Chris Smith 34. Jonathan Van Every The way I see it, there's three open spots. I'm going to assume Drew and Lowell will be on the roster until told otherwise, so we're really looking at one open position. I think the last open position will go to: Jeff Bailey.
  9. The reason Morneau has so many runs is because the guys in front of him are getting on base (Joe Mauer). Mauer is the best offensive player on that team. No question. Morneau's had a nice season - it's not an MVP caliber season though. Your last sentences - you basically say Pedroia is a comparable offensive but better defensive and baserunning player than Morneau, you still think Morneau is the MVP. Also, please keep in mind that Pedroia is a 2B and Morneau is a 1B. Completely illogical. Jeter should have won in 2006, too. PS Pujols is the NL MVP and it's not really close.
  10. Like 2006, Morneau isn't even the MVP on his own team! Why is everyone getting moist over an offensive season first basemen have all the f***ing time?
  11. It will be another in their long line of financial mistakes.
  12. Pedroia has a better VORP as a 2B. That's why. Out of Youk and Morneau, you clearly take Youk, but I'll take Pedroia's out of the three. You can make the case for Mauer over Pedroia, but Pedroia has more than 100 more ABs than Mauer, which is the reason I'd choose him.
  13. Joba will follow the same plan this season as last.
  14. I hope the Yankees land AJ Burnett this offseason. Take that how you will.
  15. WHy bitch? This is the best schedule the Sox could play, they don't need a 4th starter.
  16. Gom - Explain to me why Morneau is the MVP.
  17. UConn kicks ass.
  18. Impose penalties on the organization in general. Don't you think the Patriots were cheaters? Be consistent, Gom.
  19. I think we match up very well with the Angels, 1-8 record this year notwithstanding.
  20. I have no problems with Francona pulling DiceK to avoid injury risk. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
  21. Serious threat to the entire weekend. If the Rays win I bet at least one game is cancelled.
  22. True - after he asked to be traded, and once no one claimed him off waivers it proved to Manny he was unmovable at that point. Why bother? He was theirs for another two years if they wanted. You also said the Sox should re-sign Schilling before he proved he could stay healthy. How'd that work out? See above posts, Manny has asked to be traded multiple times. And there's two sides to every story, regarding Henry and Manny. Pretty much spot on, except for the fact Manny has asked for trades multiple times.
