  1. I agree---mabey tito will move him if he keeps it up. It's painful having to watch this game on "gamecast".... I am local to baltimore/washington and have to sit through their crap every sat on fox---then the sox play baltimore finally on sat, and fox decides to show the skanks/angels:rolleyes: ------
  2. Nice start boomer-----i can't stand these two moron's doing the o's broadcast saying that the ump should have a santa suit on for gifting those 2 k's to boomer:rolleyes:
  3. I haven't been able to see a game since last fri and the TB win....I will be glued to the tv tonight-although being local to baltimore means i am stuck with the lousy local coverage:rolleyes: Oh well, just win guys!
  4. We can also look at it this way, if we happen to get our heads out of our rear and sweep this weekend, we could easily be looking at a tie for the WC and a game out of 1st as the yanks are playing the angels and the sox are playing the tigers. Bottom line is we need to winB)
  5. It's not over, let's just get our crap together before it's too late for a comeback. I guess if there is a bright side to all of this, it's that they have crapped the bed playing TB and KC----if we did this in the coming weeks we could be even farther out...at least the sox and yanks have played each other and helped minimize the damage. Come on guys, just win tonight!
  6. I haven't seen this posted yet. Get well soon gammo, baseball misses you! http://www.capecodonline.com/cctimes/sports/gammonsback9.htm
  7. I think it's more of a "comfort factor" with tek. They trust what he calls and they know he will stop the ball if it's a bad pitch-----much different than lopez! (who i still can't believe we gave up stern for)
  8. I understand what you are trying to say--however i don't take much good out of not being able to pick up your team when they need it the most!
  9. Well, i haven't been able to watch the recent games---but from everything i have seen and heard: these are the times when we really miss the damon's and millar's.....the guys who wouldn't let the clubhouse get down (especially millar)....If these guys don't figure out how to relax soon, they won't be playing in october.
  10. In my opinion, this would be a huge mistake. Why give up our GG (should win it this year too) 3rd baseman who is part of the best defensive infield in the majors--and who is having a offensive year that nobody though he could. I know his trade value is high, but so is his value to our team right now. One thing people may overlook is they would prob move youk to 3rd. Youk is having a terrific year at 1st and unless they get a GG caliber guy to play over there, it changes how our infield plays as they may not be as confident as they are with Youk scooping! Also what does this mean for gonzo? Is lugo going to play 3rd? If gonzo goes, then we just broke up the left side of the best infield in baseball-doesn't make too much sense:thumbdown
  11. Nice to see, I had been wondering how he was doing----let's hope he can pull it together because having a healthy, effective Foulke really helps our pen!
  12. This just doesn't make much sense. I think it's tough to compare the two based on range, arm, errors, ect.. There are a lot of things that we have seen gonzo do that are amazing. His instincts, quick hands, ect... far outweigh what we saw (at least me) from Lugo in the times that we have played against him. Lugo's not that much of an upgrade offenseivly, especially the way gonzo has been coming on lately after a terrible start to the year. We are getting much more than we expected out of Gonzo, so why try to move him? SS is not our problem right now, we have the 2nd best record in the AL (majors mabey, but i have to look that up) behind the tigers--and that's with all the pitching injuries we have had. If we are going to change SS, let's move for O-cab--not the wife beater! Just my $.02
  13. Gonzo! Go's down to get one!
  14. What a lousy game and series thus far---we go from winning every day to being on the verge of getting swept by these knuckleheads
  15. Truly sad,,,let's hope we can change that before the end of the game!
  16. The worst part is that johnson watched him leave 3rd and still couldn't get the ball home in time.
  17. I would rather give snyder a shot--he hasn't screwed up yet. We know we will get fatman or clement back and then lester can be the #5. I would rather have snyder try to fill in until then instead of giving up prospects.
  18. Crawford steals home---can we please get this fruit off the mound!
  19. Nice BS call at 2nd----even these lousy TB announcers say it's wrong!
  20. No kidding.. On a side note, the rays have had the leadoff batter on in every inning so far:rolleyes: Good thing Johnson is battling!
  21. These TB announcers are just assclowns! I have never heard so much BS trying to make the audience feel better about the crap "b-ring" call. There is no way that should be ruled an out hitting it that far and high----at least give him a GR double! This is just another case of why domes suck-----this and the "ortiz speaker crap" should be a shining example of why we will never have a dome in boston...no matter how many rain outs there are at the beggining of the season!
  22. Ok, the Johnson experiment is over-----exactly why did we ship snyder to pawtucket for this guy? :wtf: I know snyder won't win the cy young this year, but he hasn't given us a reason to drop him! --and he's def a step up from this crap!
  23. I hope Loretta get's in but I have a feeling that Cano will get it. It's a wash offensivly but Loretta has the much better glove so he should be there. Ozzie will pick his own guy, he doesn't care what the rest of the media thinks!
  24. I know I will get flamed here---but I would rather keep gonzo as well all things considered! Gonzo has a better fielding %--but he also get's to balls that miggy wouldn't and makes other players around him better. (ei...bad throws from the pitcher still turned into DP's) Miggy is obviously better at the plate, but you are also paying him a ton more than gonzo. Also his attitude problem may go further than the "i hate losing in baltimore" syndrome. There's no telling if bringing him to a contender (with papi here) will cure all his problems There is also no guarentee that he can handle playing in boston. He is a stud, true---but he's been a stud in Oakland and Baltimore! The last thing is that we would have to give up way too much to get him--there is no way the clement, abe, pedroisa deal get's him here....they are going to want someone like lester/pedroisa ect... to get him here. Miggy's a stud, no doubt about it: but i would rather keep gonzo than -lose defense -pay a lot more $$$ -attitude questions -give up key prospects Just my $.02
