  1. a couple thoughts: -why didn't foulke pitch last night instead of hansen, or timlin???? -why did WMP finally figure out how to hit a pitch over the plate today with nobody on after we go down 2...he's had a ton of chances over the weekend (and good pitches to hit--place dicipline hasn't been his problem lately) with guys on and he's gone 1-20 -why is coco still leading off when he was hitting over 300 down in the order and sucking at the top of the order? put anyone else there since you are getting no production this team is truly pathetic now
  2. not to nitpick, but it was 7 runs------not all were his though
  3. and i though yesterday was the low point of the season
  4. Taking wells out now, i really hope he has a high pitch count before you turn this over to the bullpen
  5. this is just brutal. a great outing and we can't score A run---wow
  6. unreal, they actually have to pitch to tizzle and he blows up-----we can't expect him to do it all the time, but it's painfully obvious noone else can do it
  7. someone please tell tito that coco was batting over 300 down in the order and now he's turned back into a pumpkin leading off...it's just painful to watch
  8. geez, fatman having a great day and we can't even put up a run----why do i keep watching this crap...we look like the pawsox out there
  9. manram out with a right hamstring cramp per cervasio
  10. I can't believe I am going to watcht the game ( i work from home) --- it's like a trainwreck,,,terrible, but you just can't look away:blink:
  11. I hope they keep gonzo--either that or get o-cab, please no lugo:rolleyes:
  12. one more thing...the sox didn't want to give damon the extra money becuase they would be afraid he would decline in the last 2 years of the contract----however how much money are we paying right now becuase of the bonehead rent-a-wreck deal ( i have always hated that --i wanted to keep o-cab) ....the sox are paying other teams more money this year than it would have taken to keep damon even if he crapped out in year 4
  13. Just wondering why we are trying to "build for the future" with the 2nd highest payroll in baseball and a market that demands winning. I will tell you one thing though, the sox are great at marketing---they are selling the "building for the future" line to the public:blink: I am glad Theo is our GM, but he's doing his best to disolve that trust: i mean since 04 we dump proven winners in pedro, lowe, o-cab, damon---and replace them with becket, clement, rent-a-wreck, and coco. (just to name a few) in every position, we have taken a step backwards. The FO now uses the payroll to get out of bad moves (rent-a-wreck) instead of signing good FA's ....what's really frustrating is that we have the best 3-4 combo in the game, and we are taking the "building for the future" approach instead of building around them. the only reason the FO hasn't been strung up yet is becuase papi. manram, paps, and shill have played their hearts out i am seriously thinking about driving back home and beating the front office with their laptops----ok i am done ranting now;)
  14. I won't say the beckett trade was a bust because it's still early and we only gave up prospects...(prospects great, but proven mlb players are better) the problem is beckett has crapped the bed making the NL to AL change. He is young yes, but the FO argument was that he was a proven pitcher with a good career ahead of him. he has done nothing but go downhill so far--let's hope he can turn it around
  15. Exactly----may as well give the sox the play of the game considering they are tossing (no pitching pun intended) thier season down the toilet
  16. Ok, enough of this worthless arguing. Money is the prevailing factor (please read all of my post ) however the logjam was an additional problem that we need not create to fill a hole that we didn't have. The main thrust of my argument is that we have other needs that need our attention and don't need to toss all that money at an area where we don't have a problem.
  17. that says it all right there
  18. Come on 700, where are you. You say the above, when this was your first post regarding the subject: Now you go silent when caught in a blatent lie---it's like arguing with a 6 year old
  19. so we now have given up 36 runs and we aren't finished with the 3rd game yet----does timlin still think the pitching is keeping us in it
  20. at least the pats are playing tonight---becuase unless the sox comeback today, they can't recover (both in the standings and mentally) -----we are witnessing the death blow in our house no less.........and if the trend continues shill with only give up 2 tommorow and we will lose 2-1
  21. posada hasn't been able to do anything lately and he just drills a triple---this season just went down the toilet,,we don't have the guys that can handle the adversity and bounce back
  22. please referance post #164
  23. Ahem----now you are lying------here is your first post!
  24. beckett has been wild, but he is really getting squeezed as well
  25. Wow paps is warming up in the 6th
