    ya except branch would be playing for $800k where Asante will be playing for $8mil. I know he wants a long term deal but he also thinks he's worth Clement money (i don't think clement is worth that) for one solid year of play....if he's serious about the holding out then it's the end of him here in NE

    Heard about this on Dale n Holley but couldn't find the Gammons piece online, please forgive me i will try and get the details right. Apparently a girl from UNH died in a car crash recently and Lowell was her favorite player on the sox...well somehow it got back to the sox and Lowell found out about it. He sent a signed uniform to her parents with the phrase (girls name) may you rest in peace...and signed it. He also wrote it on the uniform or told the parents that he would hit a HR the night of her funeral. That night with his uniform draped over her coffin he hit a HR against the Jays. Gammo ends the piece "chills"

    Just heard on Dale N Holley that Gammons (couldn't find the piece) wrote an article talking about how Larry Bowa pulled Cano aside the day after this play and said something like "you do know why he did it, it's the right thing to do?" and Cano responded "ya, i understand i should do the same thing if i'm ever in that situation"

    Geez, i couldn't watch the end of the game but just caught the highlights on MLBTV...........why in the world was pedroia trying to score on that, it wasn't even close?
