The call was reversed, that was the break. If Youk ran out of the baseline to avoid the tag, then he's out.....that didn't happen. Watch the replay: when youk avoided the tag he was directly on the baseline between 2nd and 3rd (directly!) Arod then threw to first, after the ball was gone Youk's momentum carried him out of the line onto the lip of the grass. As I understand the rule to be, Youk should be safe. My assumption is that the umps were not in a good position to see what happened and one of them saw youk touch the grass so they called him out.

sox are doing a great job of swinging at bad pitches, and not swinging at good ones.....seems to be the story of this series.

Why is Torre arguing? 2 pitches in a row at Youks head, of course your going to get tossed. If he did do it on purpose, which is hard to think he didn't considering he's had great control, then it was spineless considering the yanks won't see the plate again in this series

What's funny about the whole Youk play, was that when arod missed the tag youk was in perfect line between 2nd and 3rd...after the ball was gone the momentum carried him out. NESN had some good replays of it...still a tough call for the umps and i'm sure they just looked at the fact that youk hit the grass and called him out immediately because nobody had a good look

Bad call by the umps. Youk touched the grass becuase his momentum carried him there after the ball was gone. Youk was in line with 3rd when arod tried to tag him.....figured it was coming though becuase we are in the toilet

I can't believe we are about to be swept at the toilet, when we had a chance to put the division away. Our offense has made yank pitching look incredible.
