  1. great pitching all around today, what a performance
  2. IF JC romero returns to twins form it definitely won't hurt, but dont count on that
  3. i like his approach, spoils a lot of pitches, and it seems like there is no pressure on him in the 9 hole
  4. damn pedroia takes huge cuts...steps in the bucket every time
  5. anyone else think this ump has been kind of inconsistent on the low corner call?
  6. dirty K on shealy tho, wow that was nice
  7. dice-k has been missing his spots the last handful of batters, just watch tek's glove, its been all over the place
  8. I think he moved up to high A, not double a ksushi, but i've been wrong before. Did anyone read the sox website's writeup about him? Just an interesting note in it...they said he once ran a 4.32 40 yard dash, and he says he could nearly keep up with ellsbury link: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070329&content_id=1868694&vkey=spt2007news&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos
  9. ksushi, i'm right there with you...4 starts at greenville, what is that about? I figured he could at least start at AA. Even if he went to AA or AAA for a longer period of time, i think that would help more than single A. I like their cautious approach, but i just hope they don't hold back too much, Jon seems like hes amped to start pitching
  10. he's gonna pitch for single-A greenville for four starts, according to the red sox site. I would imagine if all goes well he'd move up level by level (maybe two-three starts at each) and be up in mid may. this is, however, assuming no setbacks
  11. damn beckett looks solid so far...hes really workin the change and keeping the hitters off balance. the two runs were lucky hits combined with errors
  12. i'm hoping the 700kb stream starts up w/ the reg season too RSRooter. I think it very well may, too, because when i signed up i'm pretty sure that "new feature" was under the column that said "available 4/2" in parentheses
  13. hopefully this game isnt a microcosm of the season to come
  14. how did wake look...good line, but i didnt see him pitch
  15. hansen is supposed to make his debut on friday
  16. i thought donnelly looked great in the twins game. the key for piniero in my opinion is getting more sink on the fastball as opposed to the riding action he had. also, he's gotta keep it down in the zone. when he did that he induced a lot of grounders, but when he left them up, even with the good riding motion, the hitters could turn it around
  17. thanks guys...i'm with animal, the premium sounds pretty sick. i dont have digital cable so extra innings isnt really an option. thanks again
  18. Hey...just tryin to get some info and reviews of MLB.TV, as i'm out of network for all the sox games. sorry if this is the wrong place...i looked for the DirecTV discussion because i remembered some talk of MLB.TV in there but couldnt find it. Thanks
  19. i just find it interesting because i remember hearing one physicist saying the football spin wouldn't cause any severe/sharp drop or break...this article's evidence agrees with the physicist's hypothesis
  20. interesting article, i know its more insight, but its a much different angle http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-mlb_07_gyroball022107&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  21. good work SOxfan, its appreciated...this should be sweet if it works
  22. in a press conference, tito said the closer will likely be from these four: Tavarez, Donnelly, Timlin, Piniero http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070206&content_id=1795499&vkey=news_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos
  23. phil seibel got one that year for pitching 4 innings in a callup during the regular season
