  7. Cool, may have a late start anyway: Tarp still on the field at Fenway Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff June 1, 2010 05:53 PM The skies cleared considerably over Fenway Park for a while. But it's raining and the tarp remains on the field. So the bad weather has yet to pass. That would suggest that the game is not going to start on time. But the gates are open and the intent is to play. We will keep you posted on the blog.
  8. My vote is that JimEd never start another game thread. If no one minds, I'll guess I'll do it unless someone else wants to?

  13. News and notes from Fenway: Ellsbury's ribs OK but sore Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 27, 2010 03:25 PM The MRIs and CT scan taken in Tampa Bay on Jacoby Ellsbury's ribs were reviewed by the Sox medical team and indications are that Ellsbury did not suffer a new injury or re-injury to his ribs according to a team source. Ellsbury continues to have soreness in the ribcage area and was scheduled to meet with Dr. Thomas Gill this afternoon to go over the next course of action for treatment of the soreness. The Sox may consider the disabled list if it's decided that Ellsbury needs time to allow the soreness to go away. Ellsbury is not in today's lineup.
