  1. I don't read the Herald only the Globe
  2. Long relief and spot starting. He's style allows for both IMO.

  6. Good call: Phillies unveiled as mystery team for Lee Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff December 13, 2010 07:24 PM Ken Rosenthal of Fox has learned the identify of the mystery team in the Cliff Lee derby. The Phillies are it. Wait a second, didn't the Phillies have Lee last season before trading him to Seattle for a bag of rocks? Presumably Red Sox fans are enjoying watching the Yankees and Rangers squirm. By the time this is over, Lee will get $25 million a year from the Yankees and Mrs. Lee a bullet and spit-proof luxury box behind the plate for every game.
  7. I've heard he'll decide "sometime this week"
  8. Regardless, he fit the definition of a metrosexual.
  9. Ok, it is a rarity but I did find one who is deceased. Orson Wells.
  10. Not personally but I'm sure they exist.
  11. I finally saw the video. He sounds like a Southern Black man (born and raised in Texas) He speaks normal English not broken. Throat obviously giving him problems.

  13. I don't. More interested in bullpen help.
  14. Either/or. Hoping for good things from both.
  15. Unfortunately, that will NEVER, EVER happen.
  16. Yes, believe or not, my old ass knows how to text!
  17. Was asleep when the news broke. Got a text first thing this morning from my nephew about the signing. I was SHOCKED and PSYCHED!!!! Wanted Crawford over Werth but after A-Gon, didn't think it would happen. LOOOOOOOOOONG day at work, first time I've had a chance to post. Welcome to the Red Sox Carl Crawford!!
  18. The (long) list of relievers Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff December 7, 2010 09:28 PM After chatting with agents, league and team sources and the like, here is a working list of relievers the Red Sox have at least some interest in: LHP Scott Downs LHP Pedro Feliciano LHP Brian Fuentes LHP Arthur Rhodes RHP Kevin Gregg RHP Matt Guerrier The Red Sox also are at least pondering bringing back LHP Hideki Okajima, LHP Andrew Miller and RHP Taylor Buchholz. You can make cases for and against each of these guys. Downs is the best of the bunch but would cost the most, including a first-round draft pick. For now, the bullpen is set-up this way: Closer: Jonathan Papelbon Primary set-up man: Daniel Bard All-purpose lefty: Felix Doubront Long reliever: Tim Wakefield That leaves three spots open, assuming the Sox go with a 12-man staff again. Look for two of the spots to be filled by trade or free agency and the final to be a battle among assorted journeymen and in-house candidates like Scott Atchison, Michael Bowden, Robert Coello, Matt Fox and Rich Hill.
  19. And I'll send a donation for the expenses.
