  10. More good news: Victorino could rejoin Red Sox on Saturday Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff June 7, 2013 07:52 PM Triple A Pawtucket also was rained out Friday, so third baseman Will Middlebrooks and outfielder Shane Victorino had a day off in their rehab assignments. Middlebrooks has played three games for Pawtucket, going 4 for 9 with two home runs and six RBIs. He will be with the PawSox for their series in Syracuse over the weekend. Middlebrooks is recovered from the back injury that landed him on the disabled list but the Red Sox want him to show some offensive consistency before he is activated. Victorino was 2 for 4 with a home run in his first rehab game Thursday. He will be at Fenway Park Saturday and could be activated for the second game against the Angels. Victorino has been out with hamstring and back injuries.
