  1. I work for the local cable company out here (Midcontinent Communications) so I get a few perks The BH is well in the past.. just posting under articles which is stupid in my opinion. Can't keep track of a damn thing over there haha. Serious blowhards now frequent that place. The sacrifice isn't that bad really.. I don't mind the -50 windchills in January and I have definitely become a big fan of college hockey out here. I'm even in my 2nd season of holding season tickets for the UND Fighting Sioux. Only show in town really, besides me haha.
  2. No worries, Coco.. been here since 2001.. I figured I might as well stay since Boston's sports scene began to explode with success that year.. basically I got traded for everyone else's joy.
  3. I know I've pretty much taken a hiatus from discussion boards since the collapse of my old stomping grounds (which some of you here also came from) but a good friend from Ghosts of BH Past came to me earlier today to get me back and ya know.. it seems like a pretty good idea.. I mean, what with coming off one of the most frustrating Red Sox seasons since 2002 (I know we missed the playoffs in 06 but we kinda shoulda seen it coming when Javi Lopez was our #1 backstop after 'Tek went down.. therefore allowing us to get drunker and madder at will) why not? A lot has happened since I've been truly active in the Red Sox forum scene so I'd like to thank PC for asking me back from my fruitless quests on social networking sites I spend WAY to much f***ing time on.. To those who have no clue who I am.. a few things about me: I live in f***ing North Dakota (Grand Forks) I'm 31 and a Red Sox fan since birth (although my first memories of reading box scores in 1983 are where I likely started "following") I get free cable. Sean, VA, PC, YAZMAN.. old friends that I hope to reacquaint with as we gear up for another season of frustration. to everyone else.. learn it, know it, and love it. I am back.
  4. My GOD has it been this long since I've posted on this thing?? and how many names has MJ seen since I've been around?? either way, I'm not getting a swollen head about this.. even though last night the Rockies took it like a I still think that they can win 2 or even 3 of these games... the bats can die at ANY given time and it's usually some kid or some 'washed up' vet who shoves it up our ass followed by 2 or 3 days of QBS (Quiet Bat Syndrome) so hopefully that won't happen but I'm gonna say Sox in 7!!
  5. hey there kyahbean is that pic of you on the top of Black Mountain with Lake George in the background?
  6. I witnessed Red Sox greats: Al Nipper and Steve Crawford toe the rubber vs the mighty Seattle Mariners in 1986 Boston lost 9-5 a couple of years later I got John Trautwein's (sp?) autograph.. lost it
  7. you know I love ya VA!! Grundle Terror is taking over
  8. aw come on Rosey!! hawk is the MFY Financial Genius/Consultant/Metrosexual/A-Rod loving..........
  9. I didn't mean for it to be so Sox Heavy and I'm gonna work on it for sure.... I just liked Coco's chances of his numbers to keep improving .. especially now that he's got Papi and Manny behind him... Schill is a gamble and Papelbon probably is too... f***... my team is gonna get buried worse than VA's last year... gotta keep that legacy goin' ya know!
  10. yeah I picked Schill, Papelbon, Glaus and Coco (oops)
  11. I always liked CZ after he stopped being a Satanist.. lol yeah my team is "Grundle Terror" and we're totally gonna get our asses kicked
  12. BxBomber!! how's things in Cards country?? get CZ out here
  13. I'm rooting for Cuba!
  14. Fishy - NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I will never IN MY LIFE forget the Pedro vs Clemens at the Stadium when Trot hit a 2 run blast to RF in the 9th to kill the Yanks, 2-0... nobody ever beat Clemens up more that Trot Nixon.. unless it was any given pressure cooked moment... then it would usually be a group effort... but yeah Walrus... Trot really did f***in' OWN Rajjjaaaaaaa
  16. well I don't know about the rest of you but I am certainly glad we have a forum to talk about baseball and I am starting to get a bit restless waiting for the season to finally begin...
  17. Coco Crisp in 2005: .300(avg), 16(HR), 69(RBI), 86(Runs), 15(SB.), .810(OPS) Johnny Damon in 2005: .316(avg), 10(HR), 75(RBI), 117(Runs), 18(SB.), .805(OPS) biggest difference is runs scored obviously.. other than that it looks pretty even IMO... plus Crisp won't allow as many extra bases as Damon is going to allow with the Yanks.. Crisp should be asking for 4 years @ 48MM if that's the case MFY's
  18. Now that we have all 9 positions filled and assuming Youk starts at 1B, here is the lineup I'd like to see on opening day: Crisp Youk Ortiz Manny Nixon Varitek Lowell Loretta Gonzalez anyone else have ideas on how they think the 2006 lineup is gonna shape up?
  19. I, for one, am very glad to see that the holes have been plugged! Defensively up the middle we're looking excellent IMO. nice work FO
  20. No Manny news is good Manny News
