Delcarmen is ready for the majors, possibly to stay permanetly there if things go well for him and the veteran guys continue struggle. Regarding Martinez, I dont think sticking him in the majors at the moment is the right move. If he was put in the majors right now he'd probaly be ok, but realistically he has pitched ZERO AAA innings, id promote him first to AAA first. Remember hes been a pitcher in the minors for 2 full years, this being his 3rd, id give him time to get everything worked out and I think he will be very successful in the near future. Knowing hte Red Sox, the most likely move ahead of them is probaly JVB or even Meredith, or Hansen, but that would seem kind of like a desperation move since hes still working on his changeup in AA, and no need to rush him like last year without a big reason. But right now im guessing JVB, Delcarmen, Meredith are the guys in the minors they are going to use first.
