  1. Delcarmen is ready for the majors, possibly to stay permanetly there if things go well for him and the veteran guys continue struggle. Regarding Martinez, I dont think sticking him in the majors at the moment is the right move. If he was put in the majors right now he'd probaly be ok, but realistically he has pitched ZERO AAA innings, id promote him first to AAA first. Remember hes been a pitcher in the minors for 2 full years, this being his 3rd, id give him time to get everything worked out and I think he will be very successful in the near future. Knowing hte Red Sox, the most likely move ahead of them is probaly JVB or even Meredith, or Hansen, but that would seem kind of like a desperation move since hes still working on his changeup in AA, and no need to rush him like last year without a big reason. But right now im guessing JVB, Delcarmen, Meredith are the guys in the minors they are going to use first.
  2. lol, they definetly need to plan interviews better if those are the kind of questions they are going to ask.
  3. Papelbon has obviously pitched extremely well. Foulke has been getting better, looks like the 2nd best option we have right now. Timlin looked bad last night but he should still be decent. Seanez is terrible, and Tavarez is still questionable. If some of these guys dont step up, Delcarmen, Hansen, Martinez, and Meredith will probaly get the call because what some guys in the pen have done so far is not acceptable and should/will be changed eventually.
  4. hes probaly nervous, being it his first appearance as a Red Sox
  5. Run Manny run! 5-1 sox!
  6. Crisp would hit leadoff instead of Youks. Although I think Youks has done a pretty good job at the leadoff spot in Crisps absence.
  7. Josh Bard with a double!
  8. ouch the Burnett news hurts Toronto. Dinardo just doesnt have it today
  9. JVB will probaly see some time in this game if Dinardo doesnt pitch better. Ok a DP to end the inning
  10. o jesus. 4-0 Jays on the 2-run HR
  11. that ball was crushed, this could be along afternoon is dinardo keeps this up
  12. Didnt see an open thread so: April 22nd, 2006: Boston @ Toronto Venue: Rogers Centre Toronto, Ontario, Canada Gametime: 1:05PM EST Starting Pitchers: Lenny DiNardo (0-0 3.48 ERA) vs. Roy Halladay (1-1 4.20 ERA) The bats are going to have to be on tonight to beat Halladay
  13. Adding on, Foulke was pitching fine, Seanez has been terrible, bad call to put him in. Tough loss tonight
  14. wow, thats just awful. Thats a strike. Period.
  15. Wells scares the crap out of me late in a game like this EDIT: So does Glaus
  16. mailing it in would be putting in Tavarez
  17. The big bats arent exactly coming up this coming inning. Chances of Agon, Snow or Harris doing anything is slim, but you never know
  18. come on lowell just one hit!
  19. Pena is in, a bit of a surprise there
