  1. thanks for the name change suggestion, but since I don't know how old everyone here is, and what their individual 'score' is with the yankees, I'm gonna leave it at 26. It's more accurate anyway.
  2. ah right he played the year after they won it...sorry missed the 'champion' part of it
  3. there were 9 including all pitchers and reliever(s), etc. some things never change
  4. Damn you ARE old. I'm sorry you don't have an appreciation for history like we yankee fans do. Maybe if there were more to appreciate...
  5. Exactly. What kind of a debate is it when everyone is on the same side?
  6. No, I'm not that old. But you are, so i guess according to your 'score' it's 6 to 1 for you. I think it's stupid to say you can't be a fan and appreciate what was done before your time. Tell Curt Schilling that, he's a huge Gehrig fan, even named his son after him (as I'm sure you know). Just because it happened before I was born doesn't mean I don't know about it, and can't appreciate it. I've seen the shows, the games, etc. are on YES all the time. Millions of Sox fans lived their whole lives without ever seeing even one. Does that mean they're not as good of fans? Come on man, it doesn't matter whether you were alive or not, just like it shouldn't matter whether you were actually at Game 4 or not in 2004. Sure, it would have been awesome. But it's not a pre-requisite for understanding and appreciating the accomplishment. You have Yaz in your avatar. Are you old enough to remember his triple crown and AL MVP? Probly not. Do you bring it up when you talk about how great he was? Absolutely.
  7. Dude, I don't even know where to begin. Before this gets moved to the fights and crap board, lemme just say that I'm not 16 or 17. I'm older, thanks. So quit insulting my intelligence.
  8. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
  9. God, I think my hands would fall off.
  10. ok so how is the alds vs anaheim for us a HUGE LOSS, when you getting MANHANDLED by the white sox is just a loss? A piss poor title defense such as that is a HUGE LOSS. Sorry.
  11. yeah yeah...and somewhere in boston theres a 2 yr old wondering the same thing... At least we're trying to build a winner here. What is your front office doing again?
  12. How many big victories did the sox have to brag about pre-2004?
  13. I definitely agree. I went to a sox-blue jays game once at fenway, and the crowd chanted 'yankees suck' the whole time. You'd never see that in New York
