    I'm not giving up on them. I am questioning how spend their money when they are 20 million under the cap. Vinateri should have been a priority. They have brought 3 guys in so far that we know of. Caldwell who signed and Fabini and Mawae who both signed elsewhere. The Pats after falling short last season should have been agressive in free agency to fix to holes on the roster most noteably cornerback.

    20 Million under the cap and the Pats are sitting back just whistling in the sun. If the Pats had made even a competitive offer to him and did it earlier then maybe this could have been avoided.

    WEEI's Michael Holley just reported on the radio that Adam Vinateri has agreed in principle to a contract with the Indianapolis Colts. Great Job this offseason Bill Belichick.....Really spending up to the cap.

    When the Pats are 20 million under the cap they shouldn't even consider losing a player such as a Adam over a few hundred thousand dollars. Its pretty pathetic how cheap the Pats have looked recently. I'm not mad about losing McGinest because of his age but the Patriots didn't even make a competitive offer to Adam. I could have sworn the Pats were a large market team. They need to stop acting like they are Cincinnati or some other small market team.

    I was the one who said he had a strong arm and has raw defensive skills. The fact is he was god damn rushed to the big leagues when he should have been in the minors polishing his skills. Arroyo is a back of the rotation starter that we can find anywhere. Pena is a raw 24 yr old with 40 homer potential power. Those types of hitters don't grow on trees. If you offered me Pena for Arroyo 100 times I would say yes 100 times. Pena is in a better situation now. He is surrounder by 2 of the best Dominican Power Hitters who can show him the way to success and he also has a great hitting coach in Papa Jack. I don't see any downside to this trade at all.

    The Red Sox already have a good enough offense. Defense is a priority and didn't Theo say it was their fatal flaw before he made the Nomar deal in 2004. He will not be trading for Soriano when frankly Loretta is more than capable of playing second.

    Julian Peterson when healthy is a very good player. Too bad injuries have derailed him the last few seasons. I would have liked the Patriots to bring him in.

    ESPN just reported on Sportscenter that Julian Peterson has reached an agreement with the Seahawks.

    Arroyo is a league average pitcher nothing more. His K numbers have gone down the past few seasons. Clement at least strikes people out. I would not be shocked to see Arroyo struggle at the Great American Ballpark as it is considered a launching pad.
