It cracks me up that anyone still thinks pavano and Wright were good choices. pavano maybe. The Red Sox took a similar gamble on beckett. However, Wright has had 2 good seasons. Rookie and Mazzone. If the BRAVES drop a pitcher, you need to beware.

I think the wild card might still come out of the east. Unless the Orioles are pretty good there are 2 weak teams in the division. I think The Jays are more of a threat than people realize, and one of the "Rivals" are going to miss out this year. My prediction is the Yanks. Mediocre pitching cant be saved by a big offense (see both teams last year), if this Jays team would have been around last year, they would have made it over both the Sox and Yanks.

Bronson was possibly My favorite player. I know the reasons he was moved, but he was class to me. Saw him pitch the 2004 ALDS game 3 and he had it working. 20 quality starts last year, hopefully we can replace that. I always like a pitcher that can get guys out without throwing 95mph fastballs. Good Luck Bronson, you played your part in 04, and kept us in it in 05.

I am new to the forum. Wanted to post on a decent Sox site, It looks promising on here. I became a Sox fan in 99 when I met my wife(Mass native). I had previously been a Braves fan due to living in AAA Richmond and my Dad followed the Braves. Eventually Soccer (thus the handle) came back as the glue in oursporting lives and I grew to detest the Braves and their always winning the NL East flag despite their terrible trades. Saw my first game at Fenway in 01 and moved here in 04. I had always had a soft spot for Boston so it was an easy move. The handle describes my fandom to the Bolton Wanderers (Soccer) whose nickname are the trotters. I was born in England but have lived almost all of my life in the states. Thus americantrotter. I hope I havent made a pathetic first post. I'll try to lurk more than spam.
