  1. hey, lazy-boy read my intro. that's it. i'm out. next year, we'll settle it all on the fields of Fenway and Comiskey (that's the name, buddy). i thought i'd join to thank the people of Boston for being decent during the division series. i got called a kiss ass. apparently, boston likes people being mean. hasta, folks. rot in your own cry-baby blame games. ah, curses! foiled again!!! i'm done. peace.
  2. we never blamed a curse, kiddie. waaaahhh! the gods are against us!!! waaaahhhh! get a job.
  3. thanks for the tip. your credentials notwithinstanding, your opinion means NOTHING. In a court of law, you would be my dinner. your advice, given that you are not anywhere near credentialed to speak on the law, means nothing. your comments are, in this light, laughable. hey, maybe i can operate on you should you ever need it- i read the journal of the american medical association... all White Sox fans got on this site were whining crybabies complaining about every last single call as if baseball was rigging it to win us a Championship. You're bitter because we PASTED you out of the playoffs. As for the 'always in last place' comment someone else just mentioned... You're obviously blind or illiterate because, having read a standing sheet for the last 15 years, you'd know that we've finished lower than 2nd place just twice. We've won 4 division titles, a cy young, two mvp's, 6 gold gloves, uncounted silver sluggers (Frank and Robin), and one World Series. What have you done, Boston? Your post blamed 'infamous' incidents for your losses in the series'. You just weren't good enough to win in '68, 75, 86. Why can't you admit it? You blame curses like a little child shaking his fist at god. What a bunch of babies. You like to think, having fully imbibed the ESPN propoganda on Red Sox-Yankees, that you have the best rivalry in sports and that only you two matter. What a joke. Funny, cuz last year, Sox-Cubs was voted the best rivalry in baseball by those at ESPN.Com. You wouldn't know that to see the coverage, though. Keep blaming curses. Keep making media statements about how special you guys are. No one cares about you outside of NY and Boston. You had a good year last year, Boston. It wasn't enough to keep you from turning into Skankee arrogant asses. Good enough. We BLITZED you guys in the first round. You deserved to be home. You don't deserve to be the center of baseball television. YOu aren't special. You traded Babe Ruth. then, you lose for 86 years and blame supernatural occurances? That's so childish it's humorous. Good riddance to you and your negative comments calling us South Siders 'White trash'. If that's how you feel, you can all go right to Skankee stadium hell. you're a dolt and i'm done with all the fools on this board. you can all rot. WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS, 2005. Go to hell, Skankee fans. Ride along with em, Boston. I thought Boston was better than this. you guys are douches.
  4. feel free to snuggle with him for warmth, loser. you lost. we won. GET OVER IT. WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP: NOW RESIDING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO. The rest of you arrogant *******s can go straight to hell without supper and a World Series Championship.
  5. so i kiss up to both fans? well, here's a nice kiss-up: we swept you. we dominated you. we beat you down like your 86 previous years all rolled into one series. we conquered you like Alexander moving through Mayberry. You went home. We sent you there. We won the World Series. There we go; tit for tat. I have tried unmeasurably to be magnanimous on this board, but there are just some of you begging to be shown REALITY. There are some of you here (BoSox84, One Red Seat, etc) who are really decent people, and I thank you for conversing about the playoffs. You were a joy to have discourse with. The rest of you are bitter, hypocritical, self-aggrandizing, asses suffering from an exaggerated sense of baseball team self-importance. I have alway enjoyed rooting for the Red Sox and this is no reflection on Red Sox nation- you have an overwhelmingly positive and decent fan base. But the few that spoiled the bunch for me here are just bitter. bitter that you're home for the winter. You have acted just exactly like your hated skankee rival fans. it's amazing to me how some of you could go so terminally assholish within a year of doing something as wonderful as winning your first series in 86 years. I wish the real Red Sox fans well and hope we see you in the playoffs again next year. To the rest of you that, no matter how decent White Sox fans tried to be to you, were colored by a bitterness that clouded your ability to enjoy the playoffs without your team, I send you my pity. this is for you: We spanked you like a naughty toddler and sent you to bed without supper. We bounced you like so many basketballs on the floor, and beat you down with dimensions not see in MLB playoffs in quite a while. We went 11-1 and some commentators are calling this White Sox teams one of the best 3 of the last 30-40 years. They're calling us the best pure 'team' to win the Series in quite a while. We're enjoying it and screw your quick-turned-within-a-year arrogant ass attitudes when we tried to enjoy it. Have a nice, cold winter. If needed, feel free to snuggle up with Cubs, Skankees, and Astros fans for warmth and comfort. I'm out. Peace. WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!
  6. somehow, i tend to think that your definition of 'unknown team' means anyone besides the Skankees, the Dodgers, and the Red Sox. what a lousy comment. nevermind our over-100 year history and one of the 3 biggest markets in the sport. it is simply amazing how pissy you guys got when you were eliminated. what a bunch of hypocrites. the world doesn't revolve around you. you guys were BOUNCED. it was beautiful and it was GOOD for the sport, whether you agree or not. next year, maybe we won't be able to smack you around like we did this year, but maybe we will again. your bitterness betrays your hypocrisy. unknown team... what a dumbass.
  7. I can say in all sincerity that, were God to decide today is my day to leave this earth, I can truly die in total peace.
  8. You assumed wrong. try 20 years suffering. watching every game on tv, been there for the clincher in '93, game 6 in '93, the clincher in 2000, game 1 in 2000, opening days 8 yeasr straight, 10 of 11, 16 total. i found my hat... it was on my head. peace, i'm outta here! GO SOX!!!
  9. alright guys, i'm out. gonna go watch the rest of the game at the pub... Go SOX!!! BRING IT HOME TONIGHT!!!
  10. it would be incredible to win it here, but i'll take it tonight!!!
  11. oh, so sorry! did we wake you? didn't mean to wake up the bored. feel free to go back to sleep. we'll let you know when the series is over. hey, how is it watching your team go home for the winter? must be rough.
  12. sorry, Ray, but Paulie is staying right here on the south side. we have a miniscule payroll, and Reinsdorf won't let him go cuz Ozzie loves him. he's also a near-icon in the Chi now.
  13. atta boy, guch!
  14. man, what a great duel here.
  15. thanks, man. it's gonna be one big party if we manage to clinch. HUGE party. Boston made the template, we'll be doing it similar with a Chicago spin.
  16. boring you to death, huh? grand slams, walk off home runs, 14-inning nail biters won off home runs that a benchwarmer hits, the american league all-star game starter coming it to close it out after 17 pitchers... and you're bored. sounds like you aren't a baseball fan at all. sounds like you're a homer. one year out of how many we don't have to listen to all that east coast garbage and you all get snobby. amazing after one year you get so glib and so smug.
  17. dude, your sig is so dead on right. what a bunch of dumbasses over at fox. what a waste of time. garcia is throwing a really good game, and they start talking about the Rock. take the contract away from fox, mlb. PLEASE.
  18. it never ceases. what a bunch of whiners we've played this post season. waaahhh, they got more calls! really? cuz i can name a lot of bad ball strike calls that ruined rallies for us in the post season. we didn't mention anything about it. we just WON.
  19. or that foul ball podsy hit. we didn't say a word til now when you mentioned how well we took it.
  20. and as for the gold glove thing, often it turns into a popularity contenst. for example, both Aaron Rowand and Joe Crede should win gold gloves this year. Rowand might win just because he was able to play extraordinarily well in front of east coast writers at Yankee Stadium. those writers don't notice ANYTHING until you do it at their house. it's total b.s. as for Crede, he'll get jobbed because the eastern writers will vote for Alex Rodriguez. Crede was the better defensive player this year and meant more to his team. even without the playoffs, where he's been simply incredible.
  21. see: Mark Grace, Robin Ventura. Ozzie Smith was all defense- his offense was pure garbage. he's in the hall of fame because he was well liked by the media. by those standards, both Ventura and Grace make the hall.
  22. if you are implying that he had 'intangibles' (such as the usual blah blah blah 'classy', 'leader' b.s.), then i can retort with 'he played on crappy teams and never won a world series'. by those markers, Mark Grace is a hall of famer. Grace was an excellent ballplayer, but probably not hall of fame material. that's my point.
  23. exactly my point. thank you.
  24. ohhhhhhh, well then, i'd better be quiet. here's a fun game... put Don Mattingly's and Frank Thomas' career stats side by side... or, for that matter, even better... put MO VAUGHN's and DON MATTINGLY's stats side by side. it's a good time for all. hint: Mo Vaugh is a hall of famer if Mattingly is... and Mattingly is no hall of famer.
  25. 2 more innings.
