With all the talk about this guys ( and I realize that he has lots of "intangibles" )is anyone concerned about his second half last year?

Does anyone know whther thisis acurate reporting? I have some doubts about it! if I was the Sox I simply would not trade him unless the return was absolutely incredible! He doesn't get p[aid if he holds out and, no matter howmcuh money he already has, he would report at some point!

Manny and Ortiz ARE the "vaunted offense"! The others are largely mediocre, witht he exception of Damon at leadoff!

I realized that i'm a White Sox fan after all! Seriously, I paid a silent trinute to manny becaus eof what may happend and wondered what I would watch on TV from now on! This sucks!

regarding the pitching, if he did make thme, were very poorly timed and reflective of this team not having the confidence/intangibles of last year's version!

You're abolutely correct abot the "protection issue" but Ortiz had more clutch hits, if there is such a thing!
