we made the bet at the beginning of the season. our birthdays are only one a day apart in sept, so instead of betting on who'd take the AL East, we bet on who'd be ahead on our birthday, so the loser's wager would be a birthday present. sox were ahead, so i lost the bet. it was his idea for the birthday thing, i didn't think it owuld matter, but here we are, and the season's up for grabs. anyway, that's how it went. we have a long history of stupid bets but this years trash talk raised the bar.

Redsoxrooter - to answer your question, i'm a yanks fan living in Boston, he's a sox fan living in manhattan. he wouldve had to have posted same offer on similar anti-sox message board if he lost.

Hi, I am a yankees fan in Boston. I lost a bet to a sox fan and the wager was that I had to post something to this site offering to a sox fan (in Boston) who responds to bow down in front of you, say 'yankees suck,' and lick the bottoms of your sneakers while wearing my yankees hat. have to get a picture of this too. i'm sure some people will post responses to this, but if you're honestly replying becaues you live in boston and want to hold me to this, you should email me directly at jrothyo@yahoo.com. unforunately, this is not a joke.
