Assuming that the Sox win the AL East (and I believe that they can do it), in past years, I would have wanted the Yankees to get the wild card spot so we would have to beat them to get to the WS. That dream came true last year. As great as another Sox-Yanks playoff series would be, I must admit that I would get some pure joy and satisfaction out seeing the Yanks not even make the playoffs this season. I heard somewhere that Bill Mueller wasn't really happy on the east coast and that he may be looking to move west. That would be a shame. He's a great player with a great attitude and he adds a lot to the team.
