The division isn't what's important. What race are the red sox in? None. What standings are you looking at by the way? The phillies are leading it by a half game. The red sox haven't been a half game from a playoff spot since early august.

simply ridiculous? are you joking? If Ortiz DOES win, it'll be simply ridiculous. I can name 3 players that deserve it more than he does. Yeah, it's not fair that he got stuck on a s***** team, but that's always the way it's worked outside of A rod who fielded well and had numbers far and away better than anybody else.

Depends. If all you need is a base hit to win it, I think pitchers would actually fear Jeter more. If you need extra bases or a homer, it's ortiz all the way.
