  1. Welcome to Talk Sox
  2. Thats sad to hear. I remember when I was little I used to have these little Headliners which were little figurines of sports guys and I had a Ironhead Heyward one. Thats how I remember him lol. RIP Ironhead
  3. Notice the post said all 4 major sports (and was really aiming at pro sports not college) I have seen them play several times though and you are right they do love em but I hate em :harhar:
  4. Since when is there a team named Colorado in the NFL and there is no more Central division.....
  5. Yep not a bad idea at all.
  6. Why not lol
  7. While I'm on the subject, I also hate Pro Player Stadium (for baseball) or whatever it is now (Dolphins Field maybe?). It's a freakin football stadium. Baseball shouldn't be played there! I kinda hope the Fish move, or at least get a new stadium. One or the other is going to happen and its most likely going to be the move.
  8. I was 11 at the time, but I swear they put something on the scoreboard that said something like 110ish outside, 98ish inside. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm from Indiana, but its still cold here though, but I wish I was in Boston.
  9. Never been to a dome for a baseball game, but I have been to the RCA Dome in India-Crap-olis for Colts and college basketball, and also seen a HS football game there too. They also suck. Ive been to Riverfront Stadium several times before they blew it up. I actually somewhat liked it, I mean it wasnt great but I didn't hate it like I hate domes for baseball lol. I just don't like domes. Basketball and hockey are indoor sports, baseball and football aren't. Thats just my opinion I guess, some may think otherwise.
  10. well, it wasn't a summer but I did spend 2 weeks in July out there. It sucked but still the game I went to started at 7:05 or 7:15 or whatever and the roof was closed, and I think it said it was still something like 98 inside there. My favorite thing is sitting in the scortching sun on a Sunday afternoon watching a game. Maybe I'm weird but it is just fun to me, its the way baseball should be
  11. Same here, but I also agree that its nice he is going to be back. I enjoy watching him play, he's very entertaining, especially with Nash and The Matrix out there.
  12. Retractables suck. Baseball is meant to be hot. Sometimes it rains. Games get rained out. It happens, its the way baseball is meant to be.
  13. Yeah, I mean it was a neat experience, the stadium is very nice, just again I just don't think its a real baseball stadium lol. If I lived in PHX I would definitly go too.
  14. lol I know Plaschke from around the horn. He is an idiot if you ask me lol. As for being a Clipper fan always, I applaud. Most people probably wouldnt admit to that, not that it's a bad thing
  15. I shouldve added this in the last post but o well whatever... Anyways, Moose, do you think LA should be considered on this list? I've heard different things. I've heard the fans tend to only really support the teams when they are winning, and they will jump on the bandwagon like none other. I've also heard some (but not all ) don't seem quite as "sports smart" as other places like say Boston or NYC.
  16. eh :dunno: Detroit is probably underrated as a sports city, often overlooked past Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philly, LA, etc. I'm sure it's probably a decent sports town, I just don't like Detroit at all. I've never been, and the only way I'd go is if I had to go to Comerica to complete going to every MLB stadium lol.
  17. lol thats some funny stuff. I went to a d-backs game the 1st year in '98, it was neat, but I just can't stand the retractable stadiums, they dont seem like real baseball stadiums to me.
  18. Which city do you think has the most knowledgable sports fans in all 4 major sports (baseball, football, basketball, hockey)?
  19. LMAO
  20. I saw that Delonte West is in the Rookies vs Sophomores game to replace Jameer Nelson. Don't know if that has already been posted, sorry if it has, but I didn't feel like searching to find out lol. Either way, he deserved to be in it in the first place, and we have another Celtic to watch on All-Star weekend
  21. I am looking at the yahoo gamecast thing or w/e, shaping up to be a great finish I'll watch the highlights on nba.com when they put them on there.
  22. no thanks, I'm from Indiana man, not on TV here.
  23. Chambers had a nice TD catch. I would rather watch the Celtics game but it isnt on TV here :thumbdown
  24. lol true. I dont care that much i mean its ok but theres nothing else on
