    You know what, enough negative ********. After this loss we can do 1 of 2 things. We can sulk and let negativity consume us, or we can say, f*** the have done it before why not again. This thread is all positive only. We have a 18-3 pitcher on the mound in game 5, and if we win, we have Beckett and Lester in the hole. Not too shabby. Maybe Ortiz's triple will set him off, and he can become a force again. I was a duesch for bringing up Manny, and thats the last time I will mention his name again this season. So for being a negative ass. LETS f***ing do this, and show Tampa Bay what it means to finish. GO SOX!

    I dont know, its just hard to have any optimism for the rest of the series. No one has hit in these two games, we look lifeless. If they did come back in this series, it would definitely be much more impresive as last season, and with in shouting distance of 04. In otherwords we pretty much need all of hitters to get hot, and have the luck to start going are way.

    You completely missed my point there. I was saying that those series probably scewed the runs per game total that we ended up with. Fluke games like the 19-17 game.

    I dont know, its just in games like this, when the offense is being shut down, after 7 and half years, you just come to expect Manny to come up with the homerun that turned it around. Manny did intimidate pitchers btw, that does happen in this leauge. It had to be intimadting for any pitcher having to face Ortiz and Manny back to back.

    We scored like 40 runs in a 3 games series with Texas. We scored a ton of runs against KC, Baltimore, and Oakland as well. Right after the trade.

    Do you want me to believe that Manny Ramirez's impact on the lineup is less than Jason Bay's impact? I wont because it simply isnt true. Bay is a good player, no doubt about it, but his skill level at the plate isnt nearly as good. Playing at Fenway also hid alot of Manny's fielding deficincies.

    This does not mean he would continued to suck. Seriously, the fact that Manny was raking in the week before the trade, and July in particular kind of difuses the notion that Manny wouldnt have been great for us for the rest of the season.

    Stats against a certain team in a certian season dont really mean that much. Sure statisticly our offense was better after the trade, but our competition level decresed quite a bit after July 31st.

    I'll f***ing say it, I miss Manny Ramirez in this lineup. I dont miss the fact that yes he did quit on us, but hell I still miss the bat anyways. With Manny in the lineup you were never out of a ballgame, I dont feel that way anymore.
