  1. I really don't see anything wrong with talking about the Yankees. I hope that we can come away with this game. I want this game.
  2. Yeah, lets DFA Beckett.
  3. Its also the beggining of the season. Slow starter, bad month, whole host of things it could be besides decline. You might be right, but I dont know if trade is a good idea. Even though he is fat and struggling, Pedroia seems like a better option.
  4. except for that they have a second basemen.
  5. Cora is quite the fielder. And Pedroia has gotten fat and is hitting .250
  6. Totally agree with that article. I hope they either keep Gonzo or go to Cora. At this point I see no reason to ditch Gonzo.
  7. What does tonight have to do with injury?
  8. Defense is and will be the priority at short. I think the sox will opt to go with Cora before they go out and sacrifice defense for a bat.
  9. My prediction is about the same... maybe without the to ML appearances. The sox are handling him with kid gloves and aren't promoting him anywhere. If I am not mistaken he hasn't pitched more than 4 or 5 innings yet this season. I'm not saying he is coming up this year, but this year really is not that important. We have a good ML team that can compete and a great farm for the future. No need to fire all our bullets this season. I think he stays down all year and gets the call next season.
  10. Trying to post in this, cause this thread appears to be very much messed up.
  11. I took the typing test at my school and now have the record. I can also type what I read while reading it. A lot slower though, like 100 doing that. I'm a typing machine.
  12. Please tell me that was sarcasm or I am giving up hope on Sox fans.
  13. 2 men deep? So Lowell, Crisp, and Youkilis don't count for anything? Your a fool and you haven't been impressing me lately Riv
  14. Eh, I just don't feel ok giving up on the guys I have because I know as soon as I do they will all go on DiMaggio-esque hitting streaks and belt 3 homers in one game, etc. etc. I am the king of the deadline move though, so hey
  15. Well, the going price for Lugo was Jon Lester and at least I consider Izturis to be overall a better player than him. I don't know if that is worth a slight upgrade with the bat... to me it most certainly isn't but since the whole world has given up on Lester for god knows what reason, eh maybe it happens.
  16. Why does my team suck? I'm even checking it everyday. This is horrible.,
  17. I think that I 'own' you on a regular basis, and since i type fast (200 something words a minute for those of you scoring at home) I own you before he has a chance to and then all that is left to say is "you suck" huh? huh? come on, not bad.
  18. I'm sorry, but its my job to be an *******. Its almost as ridiculous as the way you spelled "rediculous" Ok, sorry.
  19. He is a good pitcher, and the trade is a gamble. But answer this: If the sox are gearing up for 07 08 and 09, is Bronson Arroyo in those plans? And if not, could Wily Mo potentially be a good fit for 07 08 and 09? Look at what Wily Mo could potentially bring to the table in those years, then look at the trade again. Is it a gamble? Yeah, but such is baseball. You've got the slowest runner on your team on first base in the bottom of the ninth inning. You know he isn't going to score on anything but a homerun and you've got 2 outs, but you know that if this game does go into extra, this slow guy has a better chance than anybody to hit one out if it comes down to it. Do you pull him now because its the best move to score NOW? Or leave him? Gambles, always gambles. Such is baseball. Eh, at least now all the fathers of daughters who go to Northeastern can breathe a sigh of relief.
  20. Arroyo never would have been this good in the AL.
  21. God, 700, stop talking. You might be embarrassing yourself right now except for the fact that you have no idea how far off the stuff your saying is. Its wonderful.
  22. Trade him for Victor Zambrano. God.
  23. Haha, Riv, I am not bailing you out on this one. This is deserved. The yankees look lost up there. Besides Johnson, Jeter, Sheff, A-Rod, Damon, Mo, and Giambi, you really suck. You should be worried. Haha. I feel weird celebrating so early, but I know I'm actually not. For the record I do recognize this month as may, which is not september or october. Its just that its so funny to listen to some of you scammer to eat your words since you've been talking about all the 'holes' the red sox have and exaggerating weaknesses for weeks now. This is too good to pass up. I'm going to watch that ninth inning again and re-activate the papelboner. That three pitch K to that A-rod guy was quite the feat.
  24. Yeah, right now, Liriano and Papelbon would be the favorites, but Papelbon is leaps and bounds ahead of him... because hes a beast. Liriano at this point would only be considered a monster which is slightly less godly than a beast. Tough luck.
  25. I certainly hope so. To be honest, I am getting nervous, if he doesn't pitch or he goes NL, so be it, but he can't go to New York. This, to me, is the season.
